eventually cord cutting will render espn meaningless....they reached their peak years ago and its a slow, steady climb downhill from here. all cable networks are in the same boat. but espn survives on live sports rights, which they wont have an abundance of for long since the leagues are going to go back to networks and to live streaming operations (like yahoo).

the telling sign of how quick this will happen will be the next nfl tv deal at the end of the decade.
