Billions Of Online Ads Are About To Die A Well-Deserved Death

Not only are online ad blockers quickly gaining in popularity, now two very big companies will soon offer us new ways to avoid in-your-face video and animated ads, pop-ups, and other intrusive ads that plague our online existence.

Today, Sept. 1, Google will start blocking ads that use Adobe's Flash software, employed widely by video advertisers, in its Chrome browser. And as early as next week, Apple is expected to release its new mobile operating software for iPhones and iPads that will allow the installation of apps that keep ads from appearing in its Safari Web browser.

Adblock works well.  I love the Ghostery add-on for firefox which allows you to block tracking cookies, and significantly speeds up your browser.

Police say officer shot at own cruiser, fabricated story

After a day-long manhunt for a suspect who had reportedly fired shots at a Millis police cruiser, causing it to crash and catch fire, police said Thursday they have found the person responsible: the officer who reported the shooting.

The officer, who police have not yet named, has been fired and is expected to be charged, Millis Police Sgt. William Dwyer said.

"I still am very upset and don't know how to feel right now," Dwyer said at a Thursday press conference.

Massachusetts State Police said Wednesday afternoon the officer reported a white male in a dark colored pickup truck had fired shots at his cruiser, and he returned fire. However, according to Dwyer, the only ballistic evidence found at the scene was from the officer's weapon.

The shooting resulted in a manhunt Wednesday that put the neighborhood and schools on lockdown.

The officer was a part-time officer and full-time dispatcher, according to The Boston Globe . He had been on the force for a year and a half.

So I decide to order Pizza Hut. Got a thin crust pizza and cheese sticks.

Dude delivers the order late but it's fine bc we are watching football. Get inside and it feels light. Hmmmm...open the cheese sticks box and it's empty.

Not a grease spot or crumb or even the marinara sauce.

A brand new empty box.

Lolol that's funny. I called them for a refund and no one calls me back.

There are a few good shops but they're far from where I live and don't deliver.

I was back home last week and was able to eat real pizza.

im of the opinion that there is no such thing as bad pizza so take this with a grain of salt but pizza hut thin crust is pretty damn good
