I'm older than all of you iceholes and have been going to Eagles games since the early 70s.  I can assure you that the hate for the Cowboys is now, has been, and always will be legit.  And it doesn't come from Dallas fans either although most of them are inbred redneck fargheads or mouth-breathers from other parts of the country whose local team sucked, so they latched on to the Cowboys instead. 

No.  It comes from arrogant & dismissive shteinheads like Tom Landry who viewed the Eagles as wholly inferior.  And Roger Staubach and farging Tony Dorsett and the rest of the 70's cast of clowns.  And then Jimmy Johnson and his batch of coked up, roided-out miscreants. 

It's entirely authentic to me and I really don't give a shtein if others don't view it that way.

How farging true!  It's not the Dallas natives, yes they're obnoxious but what fan base isn't. it's the leaches from around the country that conveniently chose the Cowboys as "their team" when they had that great run in the 90's under JJ.  Even the bunch from the 70's with Staubach, Dorsett, Pearson, Waters, Randy White, Harvey Martin, etc.  It's the Lakers/Yankees syndrome.  Funny how the Patriots haven't had the same national support.  Lot of it is the arrogance of BB and Brady but the Cowboys were just as bad.

Son got to chat with Maragos for a few minutes.  Said he was "really cool."

That's a nice memory he can take with him throughout his life. I think there's a difference between just meeting an athlete and getting some coaching by them, much more motivating. Even if Maragos is a 3rd tier player, it still leaves a good impression on kids.
