The end of TD was fun but highlighted the weakness of it to me - I didn't care about anyone while it was going on so it ended up being filmed very well, but didn't really land for me because the storyline is mostly incoherent.

I've also seen the first two episodes of Mr Robot.  Held off for a bit because its on USA but I like it a lot so far.

its passed just plain bad for me and into painful boredom which in a way is worse....I found myself doing shtein like the dishes during this weeks episode and didn't care what I missed or half saw

I tend to agree. I saw it last night and was hopeful because I'd heard that it was better. But I actually thought it was REALLY boring, until that last scene...which seemed like unrealistic, over-the-top action for the sake of itself. I'll give it a couple more episodes just because, but I might bail. Just doesn't seem to be finding itself. The plot is all over the place, which would even be okay if I actually cared about the characters of any potential development...but the characters are completely flat.

SD

It's been boring since the first episode. I keep waiting for a twist or something to make it interesting but there's just nothing. The shoot out was cool, pretty sure the Mayor is setting them up...at least that's what I think. The characters are horrible and the acting just gets worse. This might be Vaughns worst role.

couldnt agree more....perhaps people are/were excited about it because literally nothing else has happened in the first four episodes but i thought it was way over the top and incredibly unrealistic.....reminded me of a cheesy action movie gun fight not a noiristic artsy tv show

Munson

Tyrant is getting good. They introduced an ISIS-type story line into the show.

It's still not great, but this story line has taken it from "yeah, I'll still watch it" to "Oh...this is interesting..."

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

bojack horseman is back. i cant recommend this show enough. its seriously one of the 5 best things going, dramas included. if you think its a silly cartoon think again. i mean it is, but it goes so much deeper than that.

also caught a nice little show on amazon called catastrophe. its a british show about an american dude who knocks up an irish chick and they have to then figure it all out. really solid, funny, real. the chick is 40 but quite attractive, in a rome fapping to vuke's wife kind of way. anyway, its 6 episodes, 25 mins a pop. easy and rewarding watch.

solid opener to married. im probably the only one watching this show, but i like it.

denis leary as denis leary as a washed up rock star in some horrible new show.

true detective is horrible. what was the point of the shootout? i mean it was cool and all but i seriously have no clue why it existed in the context of the show. a couple of characters died? did we know them? the scenes between vince vaughn and that woman were dreadful. they want to have a baby? what? im hoping pizzo realized this was garbage and used the shootout as a way to change the story and direction of the series, since realistically, an event of that magnitude would prevent these 3 cops from seeing real police work for months. so we'll see if its going to be a real change or just a pointless action sequence amid a boring story about some guy dying and 3 broken people trying to find out who cares.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

smeags

a few epsiodes into the brink and i'm in. i dig it. robbins is killing his role.
If guns kill people then spoons made Rosie O'Donnel a fatass.

Humans & Mr Robot:

B- and A- respectively.

You care.

Eagles_Legendz

Mr Robot is one of the best shows I've seen this year, so I do care.

Weird, off the wall, potentially unsustainable, but highly entertaining so far.

Munson

Eh, I've been seeing previews for it throughout Suits' season, what is it even about?

USA puts out some decent TV. Still miss Monk and Psych though.

I don't watch USA shows.  It seems more at home on HBO or AMC.

Don't really want to spoil the plot and it's hard to summarize succinctly.  You're basically in the head of an anti-captalist probably mentally ill computer hacker who is addicted to morphine.

MDS

i fell asleep during the pilot. that about sums it up for me.

i cant stress how great bojack horseman is. its arrested development meets mad men, but animated. with anthropomorphic animals. just trust me. watch this.

actually thought the latest episode of true detective was pretty good. they hit the reset button, and maybe itll be for the best.

I wish BoJack Horseman wasn't so entertaining. I'll get spoiled on it way before I ever get around to watching season 2.

The man. The myth. The legend.

rjs246

Get out of my head weirdos. I just started watching BoJack Horseman too. Entertaining.

Also caught up on Ballers which is finally reaching its potential. Fun mindlessness.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.
