Philadelphia Eagles

Draft pick: WR Nelson Agholor (No. 20 overall), DB Eric Rowe (No. 47 overall), LB Jordan Hicks (No. 84 overall), CB JaCorey Sheperd (No. 191 overall), CB Randall Evans (No. 196 overall), DE Brian Mihalik (No. 237 overall)

Day 1 grade: A-
Day 2 grade: B-
Day 3 grade: D+
Overall grade: B-

The skinny: Poor Agholor will have the distinction of being "Not Marcus Mariota" in Philly, but that doesn't matter. He'll be a great fit for Chip Kelly's offensive system. His return game is not to be underestimated either, and he's a picture-perfect replacement for Jeremy Maclin. Don't be surprised if he has the most catches of any rookie wideout next season. Rowe brings great coverage skills, and as a bonus, he can play both safety and corner. Hicks could turn out to be a quality player if he can stay healthy.

Bottom line: The team didn't land Marcus Mariota but certainly restocked the secondary and nabbed a perfect playmaker for Chip Kelly in Agholor.

SD

B

They addressed needs...didn't reach...didn't do anything spectacular. Loved their first two picks because they'll contribute immediately

You agree with it?

You want us to copy and paste different grade summaries here, to keep it all in one place?

You are drunk?

You should be ignored?

i think you need two grades...ones for the picks themselves...

aggy - B - there were better players but it was a gigantic need and hes a good player

rowe - B - really cant grade this yet cause i dont know where thye are gonna try and play him...hes a A safety pick and a C- corner

hicks - D

jacory sheperd - B+ - really nice pick at this point hopefully is amends the watkins pick

randall evans - C - garbage but its so late so you have to weigh it properly

brian mihalik - D -  clown show...i dont care when they made the pick..wont give it an F cause of his size

actual picks - C+/B

and one for the non picks

when you needed players and talent the 4th and 5th rounds really didnt cut it...the third next year counts for something tho - D+

overall draft C-

I don't know anything about these kids, so I won't offer grades.  Glad it's a raft of new players rather than just one.

I used to go to the draft when it (and I) was in NYC.  Wouldn't miss it, looked forward to it, etc.

This year, I literally forgot it was happening and woke up to wonder who the farg Nelson Agholar is and why he was a Philadelphia Eagle.

I mean ... Rowe had the 3rd best SPARQ profile out of 219 cornerbacks which is what's used to gauge athleticism...height/weight/speed/agility/jumping, and ran a 4.45 40, so...yeah.

ice grillin you

game speed is different than 40 speed...a lot of times just because its a different kind of speed and a lot of times because of mis timing whether due to shadyness or just incompetency

either way rowe is safety fast not corner fast

not sure what sparc is but its probably as valuable as vorp

ill go games over sparc...but thats just me

It's just a way of combining your measureables, it's not really a debate thing.  All it does is combine the physical traits I listed plus things like hand size to rank players based on athleticism/measureables.

The point is that Rowe is big and athletic.  He measures very well in basically every category that matters for the position.  I get the difference between game speed and 40 speed but he is big, jumps, and runs well.
