is doug mcdermott still in the league?  i was wondering since the sixers should have taken him over saric
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

nn shutting down

QuoteThe Sixers rookie won't play after spraining his ankle Wednesday. Said coach Brett Brown: "It's a legitimate sprain and I'm still nervous. I don't know if this means his season is finished."

One dude who I appear wrong about who I wanted with the 2nd pick was Stauskas.   Athletic and could shoot deep off the dribble ... not so much.

time will tell

i still dont see jhe playing with any kind of consistency in the nba, but i hope im wrong and his significant back and foot issues will magically get better even though hes played basketball for 5 seconds and been injured for 4 of them
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

so after last night everything is pretty much settled

sixers are gonna finish third which means they can end up anywhere between 1 and 6 - they will have a 15% chance of getting 1, 2 or 3, a 22% chance of getting 4, a 26% chance of getting 5 and a 4% chance of getting 6 - in other words buckle yourself in real tight on lottery night

the laker pick will have a 19% chance of falling out of the top 5.....could be a lot worse and if this wasn't Philadelphia id have some real hope - if they don't get this pick it becomes a top three protected 2016 johnson

miami pick will be protected at 10 giving the sixers a 9% chance of getting it - not good which means this pick is going to again be a top 10 protected pick next year

thunder pick will be top 15 protected next year

theres athletic and then theres athletic for white people.....people like staukus and dekker are athletic for white people not really athletic

miles plumlee is an example of a legit athletic white guy...but they are really rare

Stauskas had legit measurables though - don't mean to say he's an elite NBA athlete but he seemed like someone whose athleticism wouldn't limit him like it does with some other lure shooters.  He also could create his own shot way better than someone like mcbuckets.  I just expected him, at a minimum, to be a solid off the bench shooter/instant offense guy.

ice grillin you

oh yeah def

staukas isn't a sloth by any means like mcbuckets but he was never getting his in the nba and was never gonna be able to guard wings in the league...he has to shoot really well to get in a rotation....basically being a poor mans kyle korver is his way to get minutes

#10 Miami 35-44 = TOR, ORL, @PHI
#11 Utah 36-43 = @POR, DAL, @HOU
#12 Indiana 36-43 = OKC, WSH, @MEM

This might come down to the Sixers tanking that last game

ice grillin you

all that's irrelevant because miami is essentially eliminated from playoff contention and don't want to win.....indy and utahs skeds are meaningless....this isn't about those three teams is about miami and the playoffs

theres not a chance miami is missing the playoffs and losing their pick

Miami is pretty much locked into #10 now unless they win their last two and Indy or Utah loses both of theirs, then it comes down to a coin flip to decide #10/#11

Best case scenario: the Sixers, a #5-#9 team (ORL/SAC/DEN/DET/CHA) and an #11-#14 team (UTA/IND/PHX/OKC) all jump into the top 3, which knocks the Lakers to #6 and the Heat to #11 ..... which has zero chance of happening

Worst case scenario: the Lakers and two other teams from #4-#10 all jump into the top 3, leaving the Sixers with only the #6 pick

Thanks to NY blowing the top lottery spot, the Sixers still have a shot at #2.  NY hosts Detroit on Wednesday

Utah is out for #10, but with the BKs choking hard against the Bulls, Miami is still alive for both #11 and #15
