in 2011 i was getting yelled at for telling people to calm down over some regular season loss because the phillies were unreal......now im an over the top hater because i know they suck

everything ive said about the phillies has been right for like 5 years. its not hater or homer or anything. just the realest of the real.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Everyone who posts here with the exception of j knew they were heading for disaster. You aren't some prophet. Everyone just got sick of hearing about it.

you're a battered wife sports fan....always thinking danger is lurking around every corner. youve been beaten too many times to think that something good might happen to you. except for the sixers, where you are a disgusting homer even j thinks is over the top.

and yes...im still IN on yasmany. who cares about the phillies payroll. if youre going to waste 60 mil on something like some random cuban, why not? all it wouldve cost them is money, which they have.

wanting yasmany is stupid but fine....just don't say you were ahead of some Phillies curve cause you were on board not that long ago...shtein if I felt like looking I can find a few posts from this offseason where you were saying they had some promising young guys - giles or some shtein - and that they weren't far away...or something along those lines

if things shake out right, they could be good in 2 years. that's not far fetched.

is it likely? no. are they still going to lose 100 this year? of course. was some of it trolling at sixers sheep? perhaps.

it is far fetched...they are five years away minimum...and you've actually said that too...in fact pretty sure you've dropped a ten year timeline on more than one occasion....for whatever reason you are kinda skitzo when it comes to the phils

What could shake out in 2 years? Think we covered this already but they have no one to get excited over. No possible cornerstone player. Even when they were bad before there was sRolen or Burrell or Jimmy or someone to give you hope...they have nothing.

exactly....they need to get to where the cubs are now....shtein Id even take a flyers equivalent how they are with their crop of young defenseman....but that's at least three years away

they are in the worst possible position where they have horrific talent on both the 40 man and in all levels of their system

franco-asche-herrera
the current reading phillies rotation
jp
hamels trade
tons of salary space

things dont generally work out so nice and tidy like that, but its possible. the 5-year timeline seems more reasonable. the 10-year + is possible, too. there's no way of knowing if jp or nola arent going to be good ML talent until they actually do it.

that's why it seems like im skitzo, because nobody really has any clue when/if this thing is going to get better.

To me the clock doesn't even start until the day RAJ is gone.

Two years?  Two years after RAJ is shteincanned.

Five years?  Five years after RAJ is shteincanned.

Nothing is going to even start until that insufferable prick is fired.

And then they'd just hire someone from within
