I think a second rounder might be worth bradford if your starting qb is mark sanchez or some complete dreck who isn't cheap like foles...but while im not a foles guy I don't know if its worth a second and 13 million bucks for potentially one year of bradford...if you think there is a decent chance of bradford being a franchise guy then its worth it...but to me that is such a remote possibility that a second and the money is pretty steep

the better possibility is that bradford is better than foles but not franchise and that to me isn't really worth it especially when you factor in the injuries

thats what i keep worrying about. i just dont think bradford is a franchise qb. injuries certainly play a part in it,  you cant ignore it. if he doesnt pan out then you gave up foles, who at the worst is very servicable in this system or may have brought you decent draft pick and a 2nd round pick for a one year rental. very risky IMO

I tend to agree. I think the chances are pretty strongly against Bradford being a franchise guy. I guess I came to tolerate the move over time because I just wouldn't have been able to take another year of Foles as the starting QB. I've never been much of a Foles guy. He looked so awkward to me  and I hated his slow ass delivery. With that level of desperation for a franchise QB, I guess I settled into being okay with seeing if Chip has what it takes... both in evaluating Bradford's potential, and developing him into a QB that can take you deep into the playoffs. I'm all for giving him the chance to prove he's right about Bradford.

This is kind of a one time deal for me though. If the Bradford experiment is a disaster, then he will have lost a lot of trust from me in that regard.

I'm in the "It hasn't worked the way things have been done before, so let's try this blowing shtein up thing for once and see how it goes, it can't be any worse" camp.

Totally off the subject of anything relevant, but I guess the rumors last year about going back to kelly green this year were total BS?

Nothing has come out about it since.

Unfortunately they weren't right.

Go back to kelly green? Over Christina Lurie's dead Versace dressed body.

the eagles looked into it and determined there was to much too it cause of all the rules the nfl has....for example if they went permanently to another color they would have to switch out almost everything in the stadium that is midnight green...from flags to seats....at least that's what smolenski said

Im the farthest thing from a foles guy....I wanted him dealt after his 27-3 season....and while I wouldn't have done the Bradford trade I don't think its a hideous move like letting pimp go for nothing or putting all the money they put into the rb's this offseason was...I am def behind Bradford but its a case of hoping for the best and expecting the worst....and when you give up a starting qb a second rounder and 13 million in cap space I think you should have a better feeling in your stomach about the move

DeMeco Ryans got a $2.5 million signing bonus and his 2015 salary is $2M, so his cap number is around $3M. There are incentives, too.

I know this doesn't seem like genius, but being a head coach is just a cover. Chip is really an entrepreneur heavily invested in experimental rehab medicine.
