Who else was out there they could have signed? Mccourty was never happening. Second best db option was Maxwell and he signed. Best offensive player was Murray and he signed. Not sure what other options were out there but I'm all ears.

Also find it funny people were saying nobody wants to play for Chip and in Philly, then a bunch of players sign and nobody brings that argument back up.

And yeah I agree about Mathis, he's overpaid in a generic position and has the balls to whine about a new deal every year. Nobody wants to take on his salary otherwise he'd be long gone.

first of all I wouldnt have spend 50+ million on the pool of players they got....25 mil in RB guarantees is obscene...I would have used that to lock up fletcher cox and/or kendricks...I mean think about this...they spent all that money and still have no wr's a complete OL and half their secondary...and are still looking to cut starters!

they had an expensive RB (with small guaranteed money) they still have an expensive RB (with tons of guaranteed money)....they had a zesty cheap QB now they have a zesty ultra expensive QB...they had a super cheap back up RB (with no guaranteed money) they now have a super expensive back up RB (with guaranteed money)

id take greg hardy over demarco murray and ryan matthews put together....I would taken pernell mcPhee in a millisecond...I didn't even care about macklin and id take him over the two running backs...they could have had mack and cj spiller for about the same cost as murray and Matthews....chris culliver got six m illion less than Byron Matthews

if I felt like putting in the time I could come up with two dozen better ways to have spend their money this offseason

Why sign Cox/Kendricks to an extension now when you can have them play this season on the cheap? Oh that's right you're still in Banner/Roseman mode where we lock up players early to save a little money and ultimately piss them off when they outplay their deal (which they almost always do). There's plenty of money coming off the books next season so if they need to be re-signed they will be.

So you'd rather have lesser players because they're cheaper? Where is the extra money going? Yes lets sit on $20 million again because we're the Eagles and we're run by accountants and that's just what we do.

who said to sit on 20 million?....i just said I wouldn't have wasted it on RB's and sam bradford...you asked me to name other things I would have done....without even thinking about I named a few....if I sat down and went thru the entire league I could come up with 25 others

if you think they have had an A+ free agency season so far then fine...defend what they have done and why you think they are all the right moves....but its not an argument or debate to say "what else could have they done"....because there were many different ways to have spent that money....whether you agree or not

I'd rather them do all this and go 8-8 then repeat what they did last season with the same players. Even if they made the playoffs they weren't going anywhere.

Hated the Bradford trade, still do. Am optimistic because he has a quick release and has run a hurry before. Mariota wasn't happening. So it was go with Foles or try something new. I'll take the new even if it doesn't work out.
