This season I'm going to track and laugh at how overrated this joke of a team is going to be. I'm going to bet against them regularly starting with the Sixers and I'm going to rake in money. I'm also going to brag about how right I am when this loser team ends up sucking and barely finishes above .500. Although I will root for them against Boston tomorrow, but this team will get killed by the Sixers and are just generally going to suck this year. Also, I encourage anyone who actually thinks they are going to be good to hype them up. It will make it that much sweeter when I'm right about these frauds.

Yet another loss and yet another dollar. First real team they played in two weeks and the first loss. Now that this faudulent winning streak (where the Heat beat exactly 3 teams with a record above .500 and covered only 4 of those 11 games is over); it's nice to see reality setting back in. Not to mention they have one of the worst records against above .500 teams in the NBA. Aren't good teams supposed to beat good teams? I may have mis-judged the Heat a little bit though. They aren't terrible like I thought they were, they are just bad, despite what clueless and uneducated sports fans may say. Still way ahead of the curve of the betting public though.
Which actually brings me to a little side note here. I've made enough betting against this loser team to afford a really nice plasma TV. I was thinking Samsung or Panasonic. PROTIP: They only cover 20% of their games. For you guys with a Penn State education, that means that I win 8 out of every 10 bets I make against the Heat this year. This team could put my future children through college. The best "expert" betting analysts in the country barely crack 60% and that is on a good year.
It's funny that people actually think they are good. Considering the fact that they have the worst record against teams with records above .500 out of all teams in the NBA with winning records. They also have one of the all-time worst in that category. When they actually play real teams, they will fade back to the back and will be lucky to make it out of the first round if they make the playoffs. The key thing with this team is they really aren't all that talented and they simply just can't put up points on a consistent basis. But I actually watch the team play. Which is probably why I'm the one making a killing on them and the people who don't know basketball and don't watch them keep betting them and keep losing. So while they keep squeaking by the Wizards and Bucks of the NBA, I just sit back, count my winnings and laugh at them when they actually have to face a real team, which like my stat indicates, usually leads to a loss.
But I hope the public keeps betting on this team. By the time this season ends, I'll make more than most of this board's poster's yearly income. I just hope Vegas isn't smart enough to catch up to it yet, because the public sure hasn't.

The Heat get stomped tonight as expected. They can't hide behind the mickey mouse teams like the Wizards and Bucks anymore. First real team they've played in over a week and they get smoked. Funny how that works out.
The key thing with this team is they really have no depth. They have no center or point guard and really have no one who can bang down low. So when Lebron is out, even as overrated as he is, they really have no depth there. Teams like the Lakers, Celtics, Mavs have been battling injuries all season. The Heat lose one overrated player off their overrated petty roster and they fall to pieces.
Anyway, made a cool $600 on tonight's game. Money's piling up.

Yeah, I shut it down midway through the 3rd and they were down by about 20 and Lebron and Wade were playing lights out and the Magic looked about as disinterested in the game as I've ever seen a team look on the floor. During the last 15 minutes, the Magic went on a 40-9 run. Also, the Heat's record against +.500 teams is bad.....and they've played most of them at home so far.

He's the best player in the league. He's a lot of fun to watch. He's made some clutch shots in his career. But something's happened to him over the last 2 or 3 years that seems to have softened him up. When he led Cleveland to the finals a few years back, he was a farging maniac. He doesn't seem to be that guy anymore. I don't hate the guy and I don't fancy myself as a Lebron basher (although I'll always rip him whenever "The Decision" gets brought up because he handled it like a jackass). I'm a fan of what he can do on the court. But he's gone soft batch in big moments/big games over the last couple of years....especially this year.

There are about 10 games left(9 after tonight) and I think I'm going to officially declare this topic an overwhelming success. Pretty much everything I said about the Heat was just right on the money(refer to my sig for details). Since there is no way they are going to do anything in the playoffs, this has 'win' just written all over it.

With 10 games to go, I have made a grand total of $9,455 on the Miami Heat this season. The only thing I bought was that TV I told you guys about. Lebron decided not to take the floor during the lineup intro. As awesome as this guy is and as much fun as he is to watch, his act is old and tired. The problem I'm looking at now, even they do win it this year, might be with Wade. He had a great season again, but you can see the first step starting to diminish. A complete stud finishing around the basket and second chance put-backs, but somethings not right--and hes healthy too.
He has the Brian Westbrook feel to him-- like every time he gets the ball, drives and goes to floor--hes not getting back up.

Yep, he created this persona right about when you say he did. Wow. I need to check this thread more often. When all else fails, blame the league/commish and claim conspiracy. If you really want to pinpoint the reason why the Heat are in the Finals and up 1-0, look no further than their 4th quarter defense....especially during the last 5 minutes or so. They have been absolutely suffocating. They did it against Philly, the Celtics, Bulls and now the Mavs.
I've been leaning towards Dallas for this series, but the realization that the Big Leblowski will probably never show his face here again if the Heat win is really all the incentive I need to switch sides. I don't want to see LBJ win a title (all hate aside, how farging good was he last night?), but I want to not ever see this dickbag around here again even more.

It's one thing that he made a bad decision with "The Decision" and even he admits that and apologized, but this is not a guy that fits some kind of villian role like a Bill Lambier or whoever where you just can't stomach him getting a title. He's not on the court tripping, shoving people or talking shtein in their face. He's a guy who knows he's great and constantly proves it-just like all the other superstars do and have done.
Players this good deserve to win a title and many more. At least in my eyes.
I'm rooting for the Heat basically because of this thread. Sad, I know, but if not for this thread I wouldn't care at all instead of only marginally.

I'm not against him ever winning a title, I've just been rooting against the Heat this year because I'm still hating on him for being a douche and didn't want to see him win it all in his first year with the Heat. Holy shtein! Got out of the car to go to juniors basketball practice and the Heat are up by 15 with 7 minutes left. Next thing you know some one at practice checked their phone and yells out "The Mavericks are up by three!". Unfargingbelievable. Even if the Mavs had lost tonight, this 2-3-2 format can make things real interesting. 3 straight games in Dallas, Dirk confident, buckle up.

About the only thing you got right was predicting the field over Miami. Doesn't really take any special knowledge or insight to do that. I gotta admit.....he's managed to forge a Stern-like audience here. More of Howard's audience comes from people who hate him and bigdouche is falling into a similar category.
