It's that time of year again. I stole the brackets and rankings from a local St. Louis classic rock station, so don't blame me that they're all farged up. This is for classic rock, and I'll run each bracket somewhere around 24 hours M-F until we get down to the Sweet 16... then I'll take it to 15 votes or 4 hours, which ever comes first.

Why are you fargs voting for Metallica?
They ceased being a band the moment Cliff Burton died and they personally spearheaded the movement to end file-sharing.
I hope Hetfield & Lars Ullrich catch the bird flu and bleed to death through their eyeballs and iceholes.

Why are you Romes voting for Metallica?
Primarily because I can't stand Bush. Fag. :D
I can't stand them either but one band's members sold out and helped criminalize a here to for legal activity while the other band's worst sin was the lead singer marrying Gwen Stefani.
Sorry, but the scales of justice lean towards Bush in this instance.
Seriously, check out Metallica's "St. Anger" documentary film. Just the most selfish, spoiled, egomaniacal group of Hoydas I've ever seen. It literally made me want to punch both of them (Hetfield & Ullrich) in the face until my fist disintegrated.
Metallica has made at least 2-3 songs better than the best Bush song. It's just about that simple.
While I also hate their stance on things I would vote for satan himself before bush. Then again satan plays a mean fiddle so maybe that isn't saying much.
Johnny > satan

Just a guess but maybe because the votes are based on music and not personal opinions.
Bush sucks.

They're despicable, greedy, evil little sell-outs who should be launched into the nearest supernova.

I'm more amazed that SRV isn't getting more votes. I like Nirvana's first album, but SRV was the epitome of white-man blues, and deserves better. Basically, the seeding farged Stevie Ray.....

Why would I vote for Metallica? Because while Cliff was alive, they kicked enough ass to beat many a band in this kind of gag. Nevermind what happened with the black album and Napster and everything since. What they did when they were young was great metal.
I'll listen to those albums for the rest of my life.

Yep. I didn't think twice when I voted for Nirvana, because I think their music was much more important. But SRV was great, and it's a shame that games like this elimate good artists so capriciously. I'd have kept him over Bush, or Staind, or Collective Soul for example. A different way to play might be to list a thousand bands, and have everyone sort them by their own ranking. Then see what the list looks like.
Metallica may be corporate sellouts right now, but that doesn't change the fact that Ride the Lightning, ...And Justice For All, and The Black Album came from them

The Black Album sucks. I used to think otherwise then I realized I was wrong.

Nickel Back Sucks. I just can't freaking stand them!! There's an overdub of two of their songs that play over top of each other and they are in key and the changes are exact. Formula Rock Sucks!!
I'm just gonna tell everyone right now that I'm voting for Guns N Roses in every round even if they get eliminated and are no longer an option.
Speaking of tools Axel has spent something like 13 million on an album that still hasn't been released.
I don't care how big of a tool Axl is. Slash, Perry Ferrell and Ian MacKaye are the three musicians that I grew up worshipping. I doubt Fugazi/Minor Threat will be included in this fiasco, but Jane's Addiciton and GNR will be getting my vote throughout.

What about VR? VR makes some excellent tunes, IMO.
Velvet Revolver is WAY too poppy for my taste. They make musically sound tunes that are very listenable, have good riffs, good vocals, blah blah blah but there's no edge to them at all. Sounds like pre-made mass-produced rock, which is basically what it is. But like I said, I listen when they're on the radio. They don't make me vomit on my shoes or anything.
VR was pretty damn good in concert, though. Some bands don't translate well from studio to stage. They might be the other way around, I think.

who cares, its about the music and Zeppelin shouldn't even be in the same sentence. as that one gimmick fraud.
