Yeah I just can't fathom him sitting tonight and/or it being allowed.

Not a good look at all.

How Maxey continues to get better is just incredible.  He's improved in very aspect of his game every single year.  More than anything his shot is just so good now and we have enough of a sample size that's it's not a fluke.

I really hope Harden doesn't play one second in a Sixers jersey this year.  First off that means Maxey just sits around while Harden dribbles between his legs until there's 4 sec left on shot clock.  Secondly, in the grand scheme of things, this team is a solid 4-6 seed with or without him.  They're going to beat the raptors and blazers and scrubs, and going to lose to the bucks and Celtics regardless if he plays or not.

Might as well start getting some chemistry sooner rather than later.  The way they move out there under Nurse - cutting to the basket <gasp>, running actual plays - is just night and day from Doc's offense.

Maxey's play has to have given the Sixers leverage with Harden and also put him on notice that he ain't needed.

Hopefully they find someone to off-load him to.

That's my worry, that Harden finally realizes it's not 2018 and decides to try to play nice.

I guess they could sit him anyway but I'm not sure that would fly if Harden wants to play.

Yeah and I'm not sure how he functions other than being a detriment in an off ball guard situation.

I never thought I'd be the one transmitting breaking news on the Sixers from Hawaii but here we go boys:

QuoteThe James Harden trade request saga ended in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.

The Sixers are dealing Harden to the Los Angeles Clippers along with PJ Tucker and Filip PetruĊĦev, a source confirmed to NBC Sports Philadelphia. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski first reported the news.

In the trade, the Sixers are getting back Robert Covington, Nicolas Batum, KJ Martin, Marcus Morris Sr. and draft compensation that includes a 2028 unprotected first-round pick. The team is waiving Danny Green to open the roster spot necessary to complete the deal, Wojnarowski reported.

Harden funholeed his way out of another team.

Shocking.

QB Eagles

I like everything about this including waiving Danny Green. Picks and expiring contracts and a cancer removed. Gives the team flexibility for this season and beyond.

Love it.  Maxey playing so well definitely sped this up.  Getting rid of PJ's contract is just a bonus.

Players all pretty trash but all expiring so great deal.  RoCo is nice for nostalgia but he should not get any minutes.  Baby Kenyon can thrown down some great dunks.  Batum has never missed a shtein against the Sixers in his life but I bet he's the new starter and gets 20 min. a game.

2 first, 2 seconds, and a pick swap?  I think that's right.  Not sure they could have pulled any more than this.

Morey will be packaging up all of it for later in the season.  Can't have those pesky draft picks sitting around for future years.

Rome

The headline is the available cap room they'll have.  If I'm reading this right they could have up to $65M available.  That pretty much gets you any player you'd want plus several complementary guys.  If Morey does it right (big if here let's face it) they could have a chance to make some noise in 24/25.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.
