Also if their playcalling in the redzone isn't garbage-ass garbage. But yes, generally if teams play better they should win games they lost.

There was not single second during that game where I felt the Eagles could win much less should win...KC was scoring anytime they needed or wanted to

they're 1-3 and not a good team but they are more fun to watch than they have been in a while.  some fun young guys on offense and I don't know what game you were watching but hurts looked solid yesterday.  yeah he missed a few very important TD throws but I'm so much happier watching him lose than I would be Carson.

I'd rather watch hitler qb the team than wentz but that doesn't mean hurts doesn't stink

He doesn't stink.  Neither is he a Franchise QB.

He's never going to stink, and he's never going to be Aaron Rodgers.

There's room for success in the middle if other talent is provided in support, and if coaching improves.  I think he's a fantastic figure to have around a team, is football smart, works as hard as anyone could hope so whatever can be improved, will be imoproved, etc.

I don't see the point of dumping on him.

He could probably be a very okay backup for a decade, maybe a starter on a bottom tier team. Wait, shtein...

the chiefs have given up the third most points in the nfl so he got some numbers against them...you know whose given up the second most?  Dallas...who hurts couldn't get a first down against

say all the nice things you want about him but hes not an nfl starter

I like Hurts and I'll give him a year but he doesn't have an nfl arm

Okay fine, but how many NFL starters are there in the world?  By your standards, 15 or so?  He's the guy we've got and I'll lose every game rooting for him before winning with DeShaun farging Watson or Carson farging Wentz.   It's a team sport.  Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl.  Put a team around Hurts and with some improvement from experience and hard work, he's probably good enough.

You ain't getting the franchise back in this upcoming draft, if all the know-it-alls are right.

Clearly.  Neither the strength nor the accuracy.  Nor can he read and fire fast enough to be a franchise QB.

Question is, can he do the rest well enough to not cause the team to lose...

You could make an argument based on stats that there were about 23 starting caliber quarterbacks last year, going with the criteria of 300+ completions (unless injured) and a 90+ qb rating. That gets you Bridgewater and Goff, but not Andy Dalton or Cam Newton.

yea this isnt anything

its backup/low tier starter territory. which is where he is. hurts is a fine 2nd qb to have on your roster. he aint no starter and aint no franchise guy.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Pretty much this. You can't teach arm strength. I'm glad we're rid of Wentz but he can zip a ball 20 yards over the middle between defenders into a tight pocket. Hurts needs receivers that are wide open. Roll outs and moving the pocket around to give them time. Still not sure why they're ignoring the run game. Seems maybe they'd want to keep kc's offense off the field since cheetah was essentially running a track meet. They still wouldn't win but getting into shoot out isn't a good strategy either. Chiefs d line isn't the Buddy Ryan Eagles but the make shift o line wasn't bad.

i thought this too but reading this week...when the chiefs lose its almost always via teams getting to the high 20's or 30's. you cannot beat them 17-13 and hope to bleed the clock, field position, shorter game, etc. gotta run with them. its why their strategy was sound for dallas. they had to score with them and of course could not.

Great point, was very impressed with the o line yesterday even against weak Chiefs D.  A lot of the sack hurts took were on him.  He had so many opportunities to step up in the pocket and get mobile, run or buy a little more time but he would just become a statue and freeze.

As much as I want to rip Dillard other than the cost of the penalty he playing a descent game.  Lane is a head case, Brooks breaks a bone when he farts, seumalu is now getting the injury bug.  What i saw yesterday was ok.
