Wokeness has gone too far. People's lives shouldn't be ruined over a set of stupid emails. Hate to break it to the woke crew but not everyone is perfect. It's ironic that if these emails had come out when he was unemployed, he later apologized then was given a job he'd be forgiven. But because they were dug up while he was coaching he's an automatic pos. Forget everything else the guy has done in life he's now known for sending some zesty emails.

I hope you realize the underlying political ramifications this has. Let me paint it out for you:

Trump - dodges a draft and criticizes a war hero, is named in a lawsuit with Epstein for sexual assault of a minor, is caught on tape saying he grabs women by the Hoyda, raw dogs a porn star while his wife's 6 months pregnant and pays her off. Gets elected President and is now the face of the GOP.

The Left - anyone that ever said or wrote anything bad ever is a pos and should be fired and flogged.

Trumpmania isn't because the deplorables that love him understand or even care about his policies, it's a direct result of wokeism, cancel culture, CRT...essentially anything they can pin on the left. This just gives them another bullet. The pigs are gonna take back the house/senate then win or lose 2024 is setting up to be another disaster. Only now Trumps put more people in place do when he loses those states are going to back him. I don't condone what Gruden said but everyday voters are tired of the woke shtein. The Dems need to grow thicker skin.

I'm not defending him.  I'm saying I had an experience with him that belies what he said in those horrible emails.

And yeah, I forgot, Mr. Perfect here has *never* uttered anything in his life that he's ashamed of.

When accountability means ruining people's lives it's gone too far. Remember the good ole days when people would say sorry, go to a class/visit a museum, learn their lesson then move on? Those days are long gone.

I'm all for accountability.  It would be nice if it applied to everyone, though.  For one side there's none required. 

Also - Gruden losing his job seems like him being held accountable for previous actions, right?

Now do the taterskins because nothing has been done there.    Of course Danny never called Goodell a flag in an e-mail, so I wouldn't bet on anything ever being done there either.

Dude wasn't put in prison.  They aren't taking away his house.  He can still vote.  He gets to keep all his money.

A private company decided they'd rather not employ a guy who like to talk racist, sexist, homo-hate speech.  Hardly ruining his life.

His life is football whether it was coaching or in the booth. But forget everything he's done now he's the guy who sent stupid emails. They're farging private emails that weren't intended to hurt anyone. He didn't kill or rape someone, commit domestic violence etc. This is the type shtein he should say sorry, do some sensitivity training, then move on. But since we live in such a hypersensitive world the woke crowd needs to take it overboard.

Just calm down.  Gruden's life was not ruined, and to the degree it was de-railed, he has only himself to blame.
