Saints actually recovered it. Thank Duke Riley for poking some eyes and punching some nuts.

I'm gonna charge forward and block on a farging onsides kick.

farging lucky.

Girlfriend was like "so it's over?" And I'm like there's a 1% chance it's not and if there's a team that can farg it up it's the Eagles.."

That game sucked. There goes all those sweet draft picks and super bowls.

MDS

eagles could have had the #4 pick lined up with the L...now they are looking at outside the top 10

great win
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

this was the first time the eagles beat the saints since 2007....that weird game where the eagles were out of the playoffs and kevin curtis recovered a fumble for a td

I'm happy for Hurts.   That's about it, though.  He made some nice throws and has some serious jets on him.

I don't know what that means. I haven't heard it before.

But helluva play by Bradley. Piggybacking on your post about announcing; it would be nice to see things like this pointed out during the broadcasts.

Realistically you're not gonna get a production team to turn around that kind of analysis in the 30 seconds between plays. Definitely love these breakdowns that are coming out more frequently after games though, this isn't something TV watchers can notice in real time. Even if you know what to look for, we don't have the All-22.

Schwartz called out that play as the worst executed defensive snap of the game. Bradley dropping into coverage single handedly prevented disaster.

Can any of you explain what the "3 up is 3" rule means?

Had to look it up because I was curious too. It's a Nick Saban term. Sounds more complicated than it is, just means that in cover 3 it's his responsibility to cover any of the trips receivers that runs a deep route.

So he recognized what he was supposed to do. What makes it unexpected is that the instinct of a rookie rotational LB placed in that situation on 4th and short is generally going to be to focus on his gap assignment, or at least respect the run just enough to prevent him from getting back into effective coverage on a speedy WR. All the film showed the Saints rarely running the deep route. Instead he tracked the receiver with zero hesitation, and Hill got flummoxed.

On a 4th down, Hill probably still should have pulled the trigger on the deep route against a LB. That's where you get lucky it wasn't Drew Brees.

ice grillin you

that play isn't called if brees is in the game...as the author mentions it took weeks of running that play to set it up and you don't run that play once with old ass immobile brees much less 8 or 10 times over however many games they did because they have a glorified RB at QB

that said they are probably up by 14 in the game with brees and if they aren't brees drops back there and throws a six yard dart to someone for an easy first down
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous
