They aren't good in extra innings games either.....losing close games is more about clutch hitting than the bullpen and they have soooo many terrible at bats in tight situations

1 run games are kind of random...i wouldnt reach too much into that.

the lack of execution in EI situations is a flaw in the makeup of their team. they have nothing but stars, established players, etc. so nobody bunts, nobody moves runners. theyre just up there to do their thing, as usual. which means alec bohm is probably going to ground out to shortstop.

Bryce Miller is currently on one of the best stretches of his career. He has three consecutive quality starts and has allowed no walks and no earned runs in two of his last three outings. He had a 1.80 ERA in four starts in July with 19 strikeouts.
