Considering the outcome, Ranger, Alvarado, a Hoffman, were all excellent.  The D backs were sitting on the rookies slider and were just waiting for it and that's all he threw. I think he threw 10 pitches, eight were sliders and they were all over it.

Not sure what the hell was going on with the bats tonight but it looked like lack of enthusiasm, focus, full of themselves, whatever it was, embarrassment.

kimbrel was a ticking time bomb, everyone knew it, there it was. i dont see them going away from him quite yet as the highest leverage RH, especially after ser, kerkering and hoffman have all had iffy moments.

alvarado is very much their best relief pitcher and they use him like so, you people need to understand the term "closer" is antiquated. alvarado gets the highest leverage late inning spot involving a lefty pocket (in this case, carroll). so whenever that occurs, hes coming in.

anyway, they scored 1 run. all the bullpen talk is meaningless. score more than 1 run. bullpen game for arizona tomorrow, better score more than 1 run.
