Thanks Ravens

Are you blaming the team that Washington played last week for the Eagles awful performance today?

looks like the union is going to clinch a playoff spot

silver lining
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Agreed this is on Doug.

Yeah. As bad as the defense looked, you gotta remember they were out there all day because the offense didn't do a farging thing the whole first half of the game. Vaitai the human turnstile was selling tickets to the Eagles backfield. He was "ready" like Eric Rowe was ready to cover Calvin Johnson.

The offense looks like the KC no-receivers offense that Doug was a part of. There's no receivers on the Eagles either so I guess they got the appropriate coach for this team.

The one play that I can't forget soon enough is Cox's penalty on Cousins. Single dumbest thing anyone did all game. I'm celebrating the stop, then I see Cousins picking himself up off the ground and I already know someone farged up and it's coming back.

i totally agree in this day and age thats a "you gotta know better" hit but in 15-20 years after a generation of new football players grow up on these rules you wont even see hits like cox's anymore which wasnt remotely bad...the problem is when you are 25 years old and played most of your life one way its hard to change...eventually its going to be like the GRIT going into second base rule in baseball where pass rushers are just going to get out of the way of the qb or at best be taught to just go straight up and try to black the pass

QB Eagles

Just seemed like the ball was out of there way before anyone anyone got to Cousins... I'll have to watch the replay to see the timing, but whenever it doesn't look like there's an imminent hit on TV and then I see the QB on the ground after the play, that's inevitably a flag.

Breeland said that they knew the Eagles formations were limited once they had to keep help in on protections

Thanks again Lane - you stupid farging hilbilly

MDS

the defense was on the field all day because they couldnt get off of it

nobody told them to become a revolving door on 3rd down.

i still havent heard for certain whether it was a hit to the head/face or late...i watched the replay a few times and i didnt think it was horrible...that said i dont even disagree with the call 100% im just saying its gotta be so damn hard to not follow thru and hit the qb there and i dont know how it ever stops until a day comes when players just dont hit the qb anymore...they beat their man on the OL and just go in at the qb with hands up

That's why you didn't see much from the tight ends, they had to assist big V with a chip on every play, and he was still getting beat.

I agree with your bigger point, I don't understand how you can completely avoid hitting someone's head while they are ducking and weaving while you try to tackle them. If you require a leg tackle, injuries will probably go up and Roethlisberger will never be tackled again because you can drive a forklift into his legs without him falling down.

in this day and age it should be pummeled into every player on every front seven in the league to watch the hits on the qb but it should also be situational same as any game plan is...on 3rd down (much less 3rd down and the redzone as this was) you better not farging even breathe on the qb...of course the eagles have a DC who promotes cleeting people when they are on the ground so i doubt he cares much about a late hit on a qb

There was no reason at all for Pederson to stick with Vaitai after halftime.
