My thought, too. Bradford's signing bonus was structured so that the first half would pay in several days from now (2nd half in Sept), so they'd be off the hook for it all if they trade him soon, or eat $5.5m if they wait til the draft and take a QB then and trade Bradford. But presumably they'd get a decent pick back in a trade for losing that $5.5m so theoretically it wouldn't be bad at, and it would save $30 million in Bradford's salary. So, Howie may have been thinking along those lines as well.

Actually, last year the Browns were going to give up a 1 or trade places in the 1st or something for Bradford, right? I don't think his stock has changed that much.

I'd be happy to see them get Wentz or Goff and you have to think Peterson would love to get his guy in the draft and mold him. Only problem is Cle can get pick of the litter at QB, too.
