I just can't shake the bad feeling I have about this game.  I should be excited, but I am almost dreading it.

The Eagles could go 12-4 if everything goes right.  They could just as easily go 6-10 if Bradford's knee explodes and the secondary suffers anything more than a hangnail.  And things just don't go right for the Philadelphia Eagles very often.  My guess is that they fall in the 8-9 win range.  Or they cruise through the season, sweep Dallas out in the NFC Championship game and Bradford's knee explodes kneeling on the last play of that game, causing the Eagles to have to play Mark farging Sanchez in the Super Bowl.

I want to be excited about this season, but I can't shake the feeling that it's a house of cards.

Tonight is a statement game for me.  Not necessarily for the team, but for me.  The Eagles should beat the Falcons.  I just don't know that they will.

Eagles 24

Eagles 42
FaLLLLLLLLLLcons 24

Settle down, girls.  There will be plenty of time to bash the Eagles' chances.  Not tonight, though.

If only for this week and if only because I stand to win some money, I am ALL IN on the Eagles tonight. farg the haters.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Least surprising news ever that igy picked them to go 9-7 and lose tonight.

Water is wet.

The season's here, and I'm so angry that Cooper is still on the roster. I'm just going to assume they'll lose every week. Bradford's bound to get hurt at some point, and after that who farging cares. They're going nowhere with these DBs, but they'll get there so much quicker if and when Bradford's done.

Eagles 23
Falcons 27

The man. The myth. The legend.

saw a lot of eagles gear walking around town today. i love not working. anyway football and stuff.

31-24 eagles
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

But if he bets against them and they lose he still wins and if they win he still wins!

It's flawless!

i think they lose too....omg negativity

but i still think they go 11-5

What specifically makes you think they're going to lose?  Seriously, I'm asking.

I'm concerned about the secondary and to a lesser extent the offensive line keeping Bradford vertical, but other than that, this has blowout written all over it.  The Falcons defense is a farging dumpster fire and the Eagles special teams are better even though Atlanta has a very good unit as well.

I'm not homering out here.  Just not seeing a loss tonight.

if everything goes right especially in the health dept they could win 11-12....if the cast of the walking wounded start falling....garnder and barbre get owned worse than expected...jason peters gets old....the secondary is not more than marginally improved (dont forget billy davis is a horrid DC one of the reasons i think they lose tonight) the wr's struggle and cant stretch the field at all then they can win 5-6....i split the middle...schedule is very favorable as well....i think even when bradford most likely goes down they could win 6-7 games with sanchez simply because of the sked

but all these superbowl predictions that are flying around everywhere just because during the preseason no one was trying while chip always goes 1000 mph are absurd

it's not one specific thing but a confluence of smaller things such as:

opening night in another team's home stadium
monday night away game
new secondary players that need to time to play together and get on the same page
ditto offensive line
no real plan (that we've seen) for 3 CB situations
new energy for the falcons with a new head coach
julio jones and matt ryan

i wouldn't be at all surprised if the eagles came out and carried it over from the Packers game, but if i try to look at this objectively I see a bunch of factors that can go against them.

matt ryan is very hard to beat in that dome....this is the eagles qb first game in almost two years in a new offense throwing to a bunch of people he doesnt know who are either kids or bums in a very loud dome....kyle shanahan >>>>>> billy davis....dan quinn knows chips offense and chip has not been great going up against people the second time in the league...falcon run defense was actually solid last year

Fair enough. All sound points. I just see the Eagles being ready to rip someone's head off tonight especially after the offseason they've had.

SunMo

that's the weird thing, i see that too... i think they either win by 20 or they lose at the very end.  that's a coin flip to me but for the reasons i listed i think it's the bad way
