well i would prefer they got the 1 but the baseball draft isnt a predicated on that as the exciting lotto balls process is

anyway the whole being horrible forever until you draft the next lebron james thing sounds like a ton of fun. worked out great for golden state.

baseball is a different animal because you dont need a superduber star to win....you just need a collection of good players. though it appears the astros happen to have a next level player in correa.

so the tanking thing the astros did was more calculated than the sixers, who are just trying to collect as many ping pong balls as possible so they have the highest possible probability of landing the top pick and therefore drafting the next big thing. theres no guarantee theyll actually get the pick, let alone the guy. in baseball if you collect good draft picks for 3-4 years you and i could pull names out of a hat and draft some good players.
