I'm looking forward to next season when Murray gets cut because he didn't lead the league in rushing behind a terrible offensive line and no passing game to keep defenses from stacking.

That's assuming Murray really did sign for reals unlike those other runningbacks.

chew on this....jerry farging jones didn't even wanna pay for him after a record breaking year and the only other teams even sniffing him at that money was oakland and jacksonville...two hideous franchises with ridiculous amounts of money to spend

I don't know what shadys cap hit was but if you add that to the cap hit they might take in 3 years when Murray is off the team, that probably more than makes up for what they saved getting Murray. I don't think chip has a clue about the salary cap, the closest his mind comes to thinking about it is, do I have to give this guy a full scholarship?

Roseman still manages the salary cap.

Jerry Jones literally tried to kill him on his way to proving Tony Romo is a good quarterback and Jason Garrett is a good coach. He's been dreaming of the day when he can finally open his wallet for Peterson.

Dallas has no cap room and they offered him close to $6.5 million per season

What other teams with cap space needed an rb? Most good teams have good backs with the exception of New England but they have Brady so that's moot

PhillyPhreak54

I feel weird about him being in an Eagles uniform

Anyways Jerry has been neutered. Stephen Jones is the shot called. That was evident when Manziel was passed over

dallas knows behind that line that whoever they have back there next year will more or less match what demarco murray would have done for them in 2015...but that person will in al likely hood be a lot younger and will cost a fraction of the 21 mil demarco murray got....the rest of the league didn't need a rb because they know their true value these days...outside of dummies like Oakland rex ryan Jacksonville and apparently the eagles know that occasionally youll get a special player like Adrian Peterson but running backs especially ones in an offense like chips are interchangeable and are as good as their scheme and line and passing game...like you said sproles was better than shady last year and maybe matthews and or sproles are better than demarco murray this year...its all a crap shoot at that position which is so dependent on others and its not worth the 30 million bucks in guarantees that the eagles have invested in it right now

And you would have done what with the extra cap space? Murray talent wise is an elite back. Yes dallas's o line was awesome but he also did well the years before they were good. Their o line wasnt highly thought of in 2013 and he ran for 1200 yards.

They can address cox/Kendricks in the offseason. Celek/demeco cut next offseason saves $12 million right off the bat.

So who else is out there worth getting?
