But I've grown fond of them and even named them!

people need to stop complaining about the officiating, you aren't going to stop watching....EVER.  the nfl knows this about you and 20 million other people so there is no motivation to change it.  it's a game that moves faster than ever with 22 world class athletes flying around and 7 officials to keep track of it all.  shtein is gonna get farged up.  in fact, i'm amazed they get as much right as they do.

and people loved the steelers/seattle game yesterday and that type of game is exactly what the nfl wants and that's why the touchy defensive penalties exist.  it's the long term effect they are looking for and it's happening the way they want it to.

So how is chancellor's int an int when he didn't maintain control?

Jesus Christ no one knows what a simple catch it

i can't for the life of me see how it wasn't a catch. dude caught it. elbow hit the ground, still had it. 5 seconds later brown rips it out after they both roll out of bounds.

i thought it was funny how they brought mike whats his face on, the referee expert dude, and he got both calls obviously completely wrong. the announcers went silent like what is this guy thinking.

PhillyPhreak54

In theory you're right..it should be a catch. So should many of the ones that they don't call catches...like the one they overturned that Bryant made where they showed it bobbled by a millimeter

phattymatty

that seemed pretty easy to me too. he had one foot down, bobbled it, then one foot out.

i mean yeah without replay that would be a catch but that's kind of the point.

PhillyPhreak54

He had both feet in...and the bobble was only noticeable when in slow-mo.

phattymatty

so if it's a fast bobble it doesn't count?

PhillyPhreak54

It wasn't even really a bobble...it moved while still in his hands.

So are you saying you're cool with the way catches and non-catches are called?

phattymatty

i only saw this game plus the eagles this week so i don't even know what that means, but the two in particular in the pitt-sea game that we're talking about? yes. they seemed like easy calls after the replays.

PhillyPhreak54

My point on the Chancellor one was that if he were a WR that is called incomplete for not completing the process of the catch.

And the Bryant one should be a catch. As should many of the incomplete passes nowadays. The NFL has clouded the rules of catches so much that no one knows what it is

phattymatty

i think the chancellor is cut and dry. caught it. down. not even sure why it was replayed.

and the bryant one we all know should be a catch and would have been before replay. but you can't slow it down and look at it close up and say well that was too fast or small of a bobble. the ball clearly was not touching any part of his hands after the first foot touched. also farg the steelers.

Ray Lewis telling Manziel to grow up and act better is hilarious

I somehow missed his latest transgression.  DUI or something?

Partying on the bye week

Browns told him to chill and stay out of them but he went anyways and of course there was video. And when asked about it he lied and said it was old footage.
