Linebackers can now wear numbers 40-49

Don't like it

they aren't expanding the playoffs...for now.... because of various tv reasons

if anyone wants an explanation speak now or go farg yourself
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Diomedes

please to explain why and thank you

We all have stupid shtein we pay attention to and sports jersey numbers are one of my quirks. I know most don't care but I've always been a numbers guy.

I hate WRs wearing numbers in the teens

I hate the number 1 on any jersey

I don't like numbers in the 60s but if I had to pick one to wear I'd go 67

I don't like when fat college players wear single digit numbers

I can continue if you'd like?

Diomedes

Yes, do.  This is good stuff.

I like when centers wear numbers in the 50s

I don't like when OTs wear 50s or 60s

I don't like when TEs have 40s numbers

35 37 and 39 are underused - good choices for a safety or RB

I like when DL wear 70s numbers

I do like when a DL sports a 50s number

Number 6 sucks like 1 on any jersey - hate it

19 may be the oddest and least used number. Maclin took it in KC and the only other one I can think of off hand who wore it and is a recognizable name is Scott Mitchell

QB Eagles

I can sorta understand the desire to hang onto every halfway decent Eagle veteran until he's 40, but the resistance to all change has to include the uniform numbers now? And the 40s range is arguably the least iconic and sensible of them all, kind of a dumping ground for RBs and DBs who can't get a lower number. Bobby Mitchell was effectively a WR with the number.

Johnny U. The one I don't see too much leaguewide is #17. I wonder if it's retired in all-but-name on the Eagles (Carmichael).

Big time brain cramp on my part.

I'd like to see more 17 as well. That's my favorite number and what I wore in baseball for years.

Why?

Ricky Jordan.

I played first and he was the Phils 1b when I really started watching.

Are you kidding?  You just casually dismissed something that actually matters greatly to everyone here.  The farg is wrong with you?

J, does college football cause your blood pressure to skyrocket?  NTs wearing #9 has to be up there with taxes and doctors visits

PhillyPhreak54

Yeah it's annoying. I don't mind the numbering system too much in college except fat body DL wearing single digits. I cringe when I see the highlights of Flutie wearing 22 as well
