It's totally a joke. And it could end up in a lawsuit, which would drag this bullshtein out even more. I'm starting to think the NFL is just a giant drama queen. Man up and make this shtein go away.

Both utterly predictable.

Both followed and talked about by idiots killing time.

Neither matter.

Very similar, actually.

Good for Goodell and the NFL, farg the Patriots. That organization just has to keep pushing it and pushing it, even after getting caught, then cries like a bunch of babies when they get busted. This could be the beginning of the end of the Brady/Belichick dynasty, if it is true Brady is guilty and that he could have had the suspension dropped or reduced to a game if he admitted such. Brady only has so many years left anyway.

the league is a joke, i'm on Brady's side.

they arbitrarily make up punishments and SHOCKER, the guy who made the punishment is the guy who hears the appeal and doesn't change it.  weird.
I'm the Anti-Christ. You got me in a vendetta kind of mood.

ice grillin you

even if he did it and ive yet to see definitive evidence that he did four games is ridiculous....most "sanctity of the game" stuff to me is massive fines or draft picks....four games for an individual player for maybe letting a little air out of a football is a travesty

All of it is bullshtein. It's OBVIOUS that this kind of shtein has happened all the time, like, forever. If the league really cared about the exact pressure of the balls...they would have made it a point to, you know, seriously check them every game.

It doesn't even seem all that shady-- every team is clearly looking for some sort of borderline advantage. The refs handled the balls all the time. Nobody gave a farg about it. The whole Colts being incredulous about it seemed like theater. The punishment isn't about punishment, it's about how to look as least bad as possible. About trying to make everyone happy, which is impossible.

And the punishments for different things are all over the map. Makes the league look like clowns. All of this shtein should have been handled and quashed behind closed doors for the good of the league. The bullshtein with handing over the phone? How is that a reasonable expectation? I think he probably "did it," for whatever that's worth...but what if he had all kinds of shtein that he didn't want the world to know on the phone? Why should the league be allowed to peruse all of his personal information. farg that...that's not a reasonable expectation. It wasn't even for the ball guys. Everyone should have declined out of general principle. What kind of precedent is that?

It's all for show; not about doing the right thing. It's about the illusion of doing the right thing.

Of course it's all bullshtein. The league isn't even trying to punish Brady, they're trying to get a point across to the Patriots to cut it out with all of the petty, never-ending nickel and dime cheating that they're notorious for. The NFL is sick of the Patriots getting caught breaking the rules and laughing in everyone's face about it as they accumulate Lombardi trophies, so they're trying to make an example of the Pats' golden boy. It's a pissing contest and the NFL wants to swing its louisville slugger all over Billy B's face.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

I actually think it's worse than that. I think the league doesn't REALLY want to be involved at all. This is a PR mess they seriously do not need. The Colts acting shocked and indignant publicly backed them into a corner. The league is just stumbling and fumbling to get out of said corner.
