Butchers Bill

As a Financial guy myself, I can't say it's surprising that a lot of NFL guys get into financial trouble when they're done playing.   I would be willing to bet that if someone did a study of people who suddenly came into money the results would be similar.   I have worked with a few lottery winners and more than a few people with inherited money...within 5 minutes I know whether or not they'll be broke in 5 years.  Some people have discipline and some don't.  Some people take advice and some don't.   It's not rocket science.
I believe I've passed the age of consciousness and righteous rage
I found that just surviving was a noble fight.
I once believed in causes too,
I had my pointless point of view,
And life went on no matter who was wrong or right.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

AP's agent is trying to force a trade to Tampa Bay.....or whatever hat he's wearing in his next Facebook photo.  That's what he posted within the past hour

QuoteChargers' free safety Eric Weddle unhappy the team has not engaged in talks about a contract extension, skipped the first voluntary workout of the offseason and seems inclined to stay away from the facility for an extended period, Kevin Acee of UT San Diego reports.

"I feel highly, highly disrespected," Weddle said. "... It is what it is, but there is no reason for me to put out any more effort."
Wow, get. He probably wouldn't feel quite as disrespected in Philly.

PhillyPhreak54

He's a good player - didn't he just sign a fat extension not too long ago?

I wish the Eagles could get Philip Rivers...looks like he's gonna roll out

Zanshin

Sure, get Rivers. I think we should employ a standard formation of all RBs and QBs; really push the envelope.

Rome

He could share his cave bitch with me.

QB Eagles

Cowboys appear to have lucked out with the spacing of the tough games. And practically have another bye between Weeks 12 and 13.

some thoughts as i poured through the sked

-i assigned ratings of 3 (great) 2 (solid) and 1 (bad) to each packages games. the result: nbc: 2.3; 430 cbs/fox: 2.7; espn 1.8; cbs thurs 2.3; nfln 1.3

-fox had a total of 25 games taken away for primetime, including at least two that i saw by cbs. cbs lost 27, plus possibly 1 or 2 to fox. what does this mean? odds are heavy that a fox game gets moved to SNF in week 17.

-fox requested and got terrific lead ins for baseball playoffs. dal/nyg into a possible game 7 of the alcs. sea/dal into game 5 of the world series. during that day, fox has buf/kc at 930am, then a slate of 100 games, then the cowboys at 430, then a world series game at 800. massive day for rupert.

-look out for week 16. main fox game is a fairly week gb/arz. ne/nyj sitting at 100 on cbs, that could wind up as the highest profile cross flex.

-very shady how cbs airs 7 straight thursday games, then takes 3 weeks off as it goes to nfln, then comes back for gb/det. what? basically this is the only way the schedule could work, and that game is too good to waste on nfln. a definite quirk in the scheduling.

-schedule makers want to embarrass baseball. in previous years they didnt even go up against the world series....recently they've been kinda soft against it. this year? manning vs. rodgers. nothing short of red sox/cubs will save baseball from that.

-count for home run 1-off matchups (non division, since those generally split between fox/cbs and nbc) fox kept 3, lost 2; cbs kept 4; lost 4.

-cbs only has the patriots twice at 430....3 of their best afc games are on nbc. the giveback? they, for now, kept both jets games. fair? no.

-buf/ne, phi/det, car/dal, chi/gb, pit/sea, ne/den, bal/cle is your mnf to mnf national games during thanksgiving week, to me the best time of the year. not a horrible slate.

Thank you.  It's really very nice to have all this information in one place.

Dion Jordan, 3rd pick in 2013, is being suspended for 2015 season for another substance abuse policy violation, league sources told ESPN.

While Dion Jordan did not fail a drug test, per sources, NFL determined one of his test samples was diluted, which counts as a strike.
