i aint that...if anything im a pro sports elitist.

temple was getting in if nova allowed it. ive heard it first hand from a providence official. its been reported elsewhere dozens of times. its a simple fact.

i do not respect vindictive jealously.....the big 5 is different. this isnt beltway georgetown/maryland refuse to play each other petty shtein. the big 5 is one of a kind. we're not supposed to do this to each other. temple helped la salle get into the a10 in the 90's. stop.

the schools are on different levels. though im interested to see where nova goes from here now that they are on fs1, which nobody watches.

im not doubting nova didn't want them in but everyone else either didn't care or didn't want them...theres just no way they were ever getting in a real big east nor did they deserve to....maybe in the chaney hey day they could have realistically thought that something like that was going to happen

and the big 5 is not special like it once was...even tho its still a one of a kind...if it was teams would play all games at the palestra and have double headers and shtein

but i value things beyond winning and losing in college sports

Big East is positioned infinitely better than the AAC from here on out.  I like Temple but Temple would cut a limb to join the current BE.

I don't know enough about it to say going forward but temple was on tv way more than nova this year to my eyes...that nbcs network is literally the big 5 network minus nova...and as far as the lineup in each conference theres really no difference...in fact the aac might be better

Big East ran laps around AAC this year.  Not even close.

Big East's expsoure on FS1 may have been an issue (though their TV deal is solid and hasn't seemed to impact recruiting in conference), but the teams in the conference by every metric were >>> AAC.  UConn would bail in a second if Big East would take them just for bball. 

The problem isn't really the top of the AAC.  The bottom of the conference is horrendous and drags down SOS for the rest.

they did the DH/single game thing about 10 years ago and stopped when i was a youngin in college. it was pretty cool. it would be something like drexel vs. la salle then temple vs. penn for a traditional DH. then nova vs. the joe at night in a single admission jawn.

lol at the big east running laps around anyone...they suck....granted so does the aac...but in the end there isnt a huge difference btwn the two and dont get me wrong there isnt a huge difference btwn any conference outside of the top 3-4

Big East was second best conference in RPI and when you get to advanced metrics like Kenpom.  Conference got 6/10 in the tournament. 

I don't agree they suck.  B12 was the best conference this year.  I'd probably say ACC was second because of the strength at the top despite the fact that the bottom was dreg.  After that Big East was better than Big10/Pac12/SEC by any measure you want to use.

cbb sucks which admittedly might make the big east look better....the difference btwn them and the aac is negligible...lol at kenpom
