PHILADELPHIA — Joel Embiid's "minor setback" has quickly turned into a small step forward.

Coach Brett Brown told the media prior to the 76ers' Wednesday night game against the Bulls that Embiid's visit with Dr. Richard Ferkel Tuesday in Los Angeles resulted in the injured center being able to remove the boot from his surgically repaired right foot. He is permitted to dunk and he can increase his workouts to 60 minutes.

"It's healing at the rate that we expected," Brown said. "I'm just here to report that everything's on track. He has come back being allowed to do more than he used to before the visit."
