He was a known project, the guys he was brought in to replace are outperforming expectations, and he's gotten most of his snaps out of position.

He hasn't done anything yet but it's a little early to give him the bust tag. Next year is a make or break season.

They could have had Benjamin...or Manziel...or Bridgewater...or a slew of other players. But they take the project.

Just to add to my point...it helped A LOT  that this offense was flowin and had what looked like big yardage potential. Howie didn't have to do too much 'selling' to get these guys over here. Who wouldn't want to play on a team that appeared to be a few pieces (with Desean Jackson) from the Superbowl? Sproles felt he could add something big to this offense and Jenkins felt he could be 'the' missing link to taking this defense from sucky to good.
