shtein no. Completely interrupts the flow of the game.

MDS

i think that was their first bs win of the year. goin have to have those if you wanna do something.

they got really lucky. prado's error....revere's nonsense bloop...the dbacks not having a lefty AND staying with trevor farging cahill....basticho getting bailed out when he couldnt throw a strike when that dude swung at the 2-0 pitch....the gift strike call against the next batter on the 0-1 pitch....prado being called out at 2nd on the review

a ton of things swung their way. but so it goes. and dont get me started on ryne's use of the 3 capable relievers tonight. he just doesnt get it.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Burnett looked competent today against the worst team in baseball.  The Phillies hitters, on the other hand, well...

Don Ho

Phil's bats with 12 K's, Asche with 4.  Those bums had better have won that series in Phoenix  against a team that is 2-13 at home.

Because Burnett is a good pitcher.

He would've been a great addition if the team was close to winning anything.

Rome

His lifetime average season is 13-12.  He is what he is and that's fine.  I wasn't really criticizing him; just pointing out the opponent is garbage and he pitched well against them as he should.

considering he came at only one year its amazing a contender didnt sign him...he would have been perfect on someone like the orioles or rangers

Burnett's changed his pitching style.  Way more groundball reliant.   Led the NL in K/9 last year.   His ERA the last two seasons plus this = 3.51, 3.30, and 2.15 so far.  I was just responding to the he looked competent comment.  He should be competent.  The problem is signing a 1 year deal for a 37 year old pitcher with a NTC really only matters if you're closing to winning something substantial.  Even if he's lights out as a #3 starter this year it'll probably be wasted on this team and the fact that they can't flip him to most teams.

QB Eagles

The problem is that the Phillies have a GM who actually believes that they are a contender.

Rome

I want my GM to believe the team is a contender because they're, you know, actually a contender.
