QB Eagles

Quote from: Eagles_Legendz on December 15, 2013, 04:56:13 PMbiggest issue with foles today was how long he held the ball on some plays.

He was holding on forever, I think he was a lot more unclear about who was open when trying to read the zone coverage. Gotta hit that hard in practice this week or the blueprint is out there for the Bears and Cowboys. On top of that though, he was just way off today. Some days QBs have it, some days they don't. Today he couldn't pass for shtein.

Great QB's definitely do this.

Still wouldn't call Foles "great", but dude has had two bad games....I can definitely think of a few great QB's that have 2 or 3 bad games a season.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I want to buy this team so I can change the logo to a pair of thick labia.

HA!
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

This team is not playoff worthy.  They're in the worst division in football so "if" they get in we can chalk it up to another Dallas collapse.  I don't see that happening.  just an absolute embarassment today.  Only positive is Shady should be fresh as can be for Chicago next week.

lets save the overreactions.  today was awful but it's not like dallas deserves the division any more than the eagles do.

(also, splitting hairs but since people keep saying it, the AFC South is worse than the NFC East.  the East is only second worst, so, ha).

SD

I'm still happy with Foles moving forward. Even if they miss the playoffs they played higher than any of our expectations. They played a bad game... It happens after you win 5 straight.

i dont think its an overreation to say the eagles are a bad team in worse division

they have beaten exactly one decent team and that was in a blizzard

the nfc east is not the worst division in the nfl & the eagles are not a bad team, so yes it's an overreaction.  the eagles might be an average team, but saying they're bad is dumb.

ice grillin you

they are a bad team...thats not debatable...they arent the worst team in the league but they are nowhere near good

saints have 3 pts and brees has two INTs with 4 mins left in the half against st louis.

i don't think foles is an ideal fit for this offense but he wasn't dallas level bad.  i would be surprised if they picked a qb in rd1 barring a complete implosion by foles to end the year.  if he chokes next week and against dallas then i think you could see it, but i think they roll with him next year.

there aren't 15 teams better than them, sorry.  you can say whatever you want.  their record, any of the numbers, everything refutes that besides your opinion.  that means they are at least average.

ice grillin you

the league sucks....but that doesnt make the eagles good

beating washington tampa oakland and the giants doesnt make you a good team

Depends how the QB class shakes out. If there's a great athlete at QB that Chip likes and is realistic for the Eagles pick/within a reasonable tradeup, it's definitely possible. However, I don't think they'll make QB a top priority or reach on somebody.

i agree with this....foles allows you not to have to reach for a qb....but if a guy that chipper likes is there in round 1 he will take a qb...hes smart enough to know that nick is not the answer
