The **** officiating in the NFL is just about to make me lose interest in this ****ing game! I'll find other things to do on Sundays and Monday nights!  I watched several games today and the one consistent thing was that the officiating in this league is COMPLETE ****!  Just when you didn't think it could get worse, it just gets worse and worse EVERY year!

And people have been saying "You're crazy!" for my posts ALL SEASON about how the refs are purposely screwing us on night games.  Sooner or later people will take their heads out of the sand and realize that while this team isn't very good, we're playing against the opposing team AND the officials (aka His Holyness the Commissioner Goodell) week after week.



I only watch the games now to see 1) how the Skins can find inventive ways to lose games and 2) how the refs can screw us this week.  Gotta admit, we do know how to lose in dramatic fashion.  Dropped what 3 or 4 balls on the game tying drive and then have a 1st down stolen out of Garcon's hands?  It's comical at this point.

After seeing refs give the Eagles their game earlier today followed by yet another screw job against us...  The NFL isn't even fun to watch anymore.

Officials said Skins had a first down with under 2 minutes on the clock.  They mistakenly moved the chains but Triplett was signaling third down.  Play continued with taterskins thinking its first down.  Incomplete pass.  It was actually third so now it's fourth down.  The frenchman fumbles on next play, Giants ball.  Game over.  Skins fans creaming but the officiating gaffe had nothing to do with Garcon having the ball stripped.  Al Michaels crucified the officials.  He was brutal.

With the Washington taterskins down by a touchdown and driving for a game-tying score with under two minutes left in Sunday night's game against the New York Giants, Jeff Triplette's officiating crew mistakenly gave the taterskins a first down following a second-down reception, then changed their minds one play later. The deep pass Robert Griffin III threw on that first-and-10 retroactively became a third-and-1 pass, thus setting up the taterskins for a fourth-down attempt that eventually turned into a Pierre Garcon fumble

taterskins coach Mike Shanahan said he had asked for a measurement following Garcon's catch. However, Shanahan said an official told him it wasn't necessary.

"He said, 'You don't have to, it's a first down,' " Shanahan said. "I saw it as a first down on the other side and he signaled to move the chains on our side. I asked him if it was fourth down. He said he already told me it was a first down. ... Then, after I saw it was fourth down I asked him, 'You already told me it was first down.' That was quite disappointing."

Shanahan said the unnamed official didn't respond to that. His claim that he was told it was a first down was relayed to Triplette.

"I can't respond to that," Triplette said. "I don't know what happened. I just know that we had signaled third down."

The confusion started when the side judge assumed they'd gotten the first down and they didn't measure.

You could see him waving the chain gang along...however the same SJ who did that then signaled 3rd down with his hand.
