I actually thought it was their best game through 3 qtrs and then all the wheels came off.  They get the first on 4th and 1 and it probably ends 31-7 or something.  Instead they didn't and went into ultra conservative mode.

Rome

Going for it on fourth and one was excruciatingly stupid.  Not challenging an obvious out of bounds play was stupid.   Playing prevent on offense and defense was stupid.  Tons of penalties at the worst times.   They started out great and the defense played their asses off in the first three quarters but the fourth quarter was embarrassing for all concerned.

The fans brought it today, though.  Loud as farg and rowdy as hell too.   A+ effort.

Don Ho

This conservative play calling is perplexing.  Where is the Chipper with the brass balls?
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

QB Eagles

Are all you guys for real with the anguish over not using a challenge to turn a 9 yard gain by Morris into like a 4 yard gain, deep in Washington territory in the first quarter, with the Eagles forcing a punt two plays later anyway? I want the coach to use challenges when it farging matters, not every time it can save the team a couple of yards.

hbionic

I like that he goes for it on 4th and 1. It sets a tone and gives defenses something else to think about.

QB Eagles

I can't complain about anything that happened in the first three quarters. Chip should be roasted about taking his foot off the gas though. After the first Washington game, he specifically said that's what they won't do again. Didn't even listen to his own advice.

was it me or did rgknee pout his way into a donovan mcnabb impersonator
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

This is rich:

QuotePHILADELPHIA -- Washington taterskins left tackle Trent Williams said umpire Roy Ellison cussed him out during a drive late in the first half Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, an accusation teammates backed.

Williams said Ellison walked by him after a play and called him a "garbage-ass, disrespectful motherf-----."

Pool reporter Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times-Dispatch attempted to contact the officials regarding the accusation. The officials already were on a bus, so Phillips told the driver he needed to talk to head referee Walt Coleman. According to Phillips, Coleman came to the window and asked what he wanted. When Williams' account was relayed to Coleman, Phillips said the referee said, "OK," then directed the driver to roll up the window. The bus then drove off.

An NFL spokesman said the league will look into Williams' accusation.

As Williams recounted the exchange after the game, several teammates shouted at him to stop, including receiver Pierre Garcon. But after he was done, Williams said he didn't care if he was fined.

"This is a players' league," Williams said after the team's 24-16 loss. "I don't think there's no room for that, to take that from the team and the refs. It's very unprofessional. It sucks. I'm at a loss of words. You never expect that as a player to have to beef with the refs also."

Williams wasn't sure why Ellison made the comment. When asked if he had been complaining about calls, Williams said, "I never disrespected him like he disrespected me."

The taterskins were called for four penalties; Philadelphia had nine. Some members of the taterskins' interior offensive line were wearing microphones for NFL Films, so there's a chance the exchange was recorded.

Several players corroborated Williams' account.

"I've never heard anything like that before in my life," taterskins guard Kory Lichtensteiger said. "I don't know what it was, but that guy came out with some kind of vendetta. I don't have a lot else to say, but I heard that comment."

Williams remained upset about the exchange as his voice could be heard from the showers. He said he does not care if people think he's trying to blame the officials for the taterskins'  loss.

"You can say whatever you want to say," Williams said. "I'm telling you the truth."

nick foles sucks

i thought foles was great today.  every pass was pretty much on point and i'm not a nick foles supporter in general.

Know what's awesome about both wins vs. the Skins? The birds got a big lead, the Skins came back to give their fans hope, only to have those hopes come crushing down.

General_Failure

Sure, but it would be nice if the Eagles could play an entire game one of these weeks.
