Been to San Fran a couple times already.  So I'm good.

BigEd76

here's the schedule

-- Open at Texas
-- Home opener vs the Brewers
-- Three west coast trips (COL/LAD/AZ in April, LAA/SF in August, SD/OAK in September)
-- 19 out of 27 at home in May
-- In Pittsburgh for July 4th again
-- 19 out of 26 on the road in late August/most of September before finishing at home against the Braves

DFW in early April actually might not suck.  I mean, it's Texas so it's definitely going to suck but the weather should be decent.  I've been to Dallas at least a half dozen times.  No real desire to go back, but their ballpark is 1 I wouldn't mind visiting.  Might have to plan a trip to Austin to visit my sister and then just make the drive up for a game.

early july in milwaukee? cubs at home that weekend, albeit not against the phils. still....FAT CHICKS FROM WISCONSIN
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

For the away series, Toronto is the only city I'd be interested in going to.  Been to LA and Dallas and who the farg visits Oakland on purpose?

I was just at Oakland Alameda Coliseum last week.  Saw the Rangers/A's game on Tuesday night.  The place is a shtein hole. Makes the Vet look like the Taj Mahal.  What was mind boggling was here was a game for first place and the announced attendance was 18K.  I think that was a little generous.  Great crowd as far as enthusiasm.  Lots of spirit and very knowledgeable.
"Well where does Jack Lord live, or Don Ho?  That's got to be a nice neighborhood"  Jack Singer(Nicholas Cage) in Honeymoon in Vegas.

A's should have never left Philadelphia.  They deserve to play in front of nobody.

Rome

ha - my father was old enough to remember the a's and when they were in the world series every year in the early 70s he would routinely boo the farg out of them on television.

philly.

your pops was born in the 1920's?

I like how Romey talks of the 70s like it was eons ago. Pretty sure everyone's parents here remembers the 70s since that's the decade that most of us were born, except Munson and Jewvenile.

Pretty sure he's saying his dad remembered when they were in Philly and still hated them even when they were in Oakland but ok.

Rome

Oy, really?   Okay...

My Dad was born in 1929 and remembered the Phillies when they played in Philly.  He was an A's fan as a kid.  They left and when they became successful in the 1970's he hated then because they rolled out of Philly.   He also hated Reggie Jackson because he was a loudmouth colored fella from C-ham.

He and MDS's pops would have been tight.
