his legacy is getting out dueled by lincecum in game 1 of the 2010 nlcs

playoff no hitter = who cares
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

i dont mind the rangers...fun to watch. the a's are an easy team to root for, too, but you probably hate billy beane because he doesnt care about pitchers records or something.

When Ruf hit his dinger in the eighth I literally had to mute the game because of T-Mac's idiotic squealing.

it really is embarrassing

how can a classic 130 year old franchise have such a terrible announcing crew

The funny thing is Franzke & L.A. are really enjoyable to listen to.  Why they aren't the tv crew is beyond me.  Ah well... just another disappointing yet totally fixable aspect of this wretched franchise.

ice grillin you

yes

the worst part of carts is that he came from the mets...wheels is an all time bad announcer but at least hes from philly and grew up philly

Sgt PSN

Not trying to say I told you so, but I told you so.  Actually, it's pretty much guaranteed that my prediction (78 wins) will still be a few games over their final record.  They're 58-71 (129 games in) right now with 33 left which means they'd have to go 20-13 just to reach 78 wins.  Not gonna happen.  13-20 is much more realistic which would put them at 71-91.  The only thing worse than the Phillies were your predictions.  Even Havas had misguided optimism on this one.

80 wins, 3rd place

78 wins. 4th place.

92 wins, wild card.

86 wins. No playoffs.

I'll take 84.

Quote from: Munson on March 31, 2013, 01:07:14 PM
85 wins

81 wins, they'll tease us with a nice little streak in August then fall flat on their asses.

i think they are a .500 team more or less....ill say a little more as theres legit reason to be optimistic for an offensive improvement

83 wins

91-71

Choke, Grit and Jimmy the Pimp all have good seasons

On the optimistic side, I'd say in the 86-88 range.

90 wins....WC playoff spot

Geowhizzer

Take my 86 and subtract the 8 addition I thought Halladay would get that he didn't, and I'd be at your 78.

Can I help it I'm a more positive person than you, Nancy Negative?

... in other words, yeah, my optimistic prediction sucked.  I thought they'd be mediocre, maybe very slightly above that if Halladay was even competent this year.  Turned out that Doc's arm exploded, and the team is descending greater depths of suckitude than even Todd's writing could reach.

Geowhizzer

Halladay activated and J.C. Ramirez called up from LV.  Tyler Cloyd and Luis Garcia sent down to make room.
