It happens. I don't think Boston had any playoff teams between the Sox losing the '99 ALCS and the Patriots winning the Super Bowl at the beginning of 2002. The scary thing about this current stretch is that all four teams have so many problems, it's not clear when any of them will make the playoffs again.

I think the Flyers will make the playoffs next year.  The NHL has so many playoff teams it would have to be a total breakdown again for them not to be at least a bottom seed.

As for these mutts, this is what the end of an era looks like.  shtein ends because it's bad and this is the worst laydown I've ever seen.   It is expected because of the injuries and general entropy of the elders, but still... shocking after a 102 win season two years ago.

yeah im sure its happened its just so frustrating.....but also patriots are not a boston team....they play and are headquartered closer to providence than boston
