The Phillies won the lottery and now are in position where it's time to declare bankruptcy. This shouldn't be a surprise if you have had any perspective at all over the past 5 years. At this point I don't want them to do anything other than fire Smug. Keep the team intact until the offseason. They're not getting anything of value for these over the hill losers anyway. I mean, seriously, who are they getting for Chase Utley at the deadline? Papelbon? Just let these douchebags have their last three months together, fire Smug, hire a new GM & Manager and completely start to rebuild.
