Michael Young flashing some leather there.  Wow.  It looks hot in Philly.  Like ugly hot.

It's abysmal weather. I'm not an ac guy but mines on. The humidity is kicking.

Face it, the day John Vukovich was put on the Phillies' Wall of Fame, it essentially became meaningless.

Lies.

they put tugger on the wall and he threw one pitch. sammy is in. vuke is in. krukker is in.

lower your expectations please
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

McGraw did pitch for the Phils for a decade and save 94 games in an era where a pitcher often had to pitch more than one inning to earn one.

If I remember right, I think McGraw was top-5 or so in saves (180) when he retired.

EDIT:  Just looked it up - McGraw was 8th when he retired.  Just to show how the modern save has changed, he'd slipped to 57th.

those guys also are all from different teams

they arent putting eight or nine guys from the same team on....thats ridiculous....at that point just put the 2008 Phillies on a plaque

For perspective, the following are from the 1980 team:

1988 - Paul Owens (one we haven't thought of - does Gillick get added?)
1989 - Steve Carlton
1990 - Mike Schmidt
1991 - Larry Bowa
1998 - Greg Luzinski
1999 - Tug McGraw
2001 - Garry Maddox
2005 - Bob Boone
2006 - Dallas Green (what about Cholly?)
2007 - John Vukovich

Pete Rose would easily be on the Wall if he hadn't been banned.

Rose is a special case, though.  And LOL @ the little fella suggesting McGraw was a one pitch wonder.

they have an alumni weekend once per season

there are years where they could snake it out by giving it to team employees like wheeler (seriously), LA, larry shenk, gillick, the dude who plays the phanatic, etc.

manuel is getting in, too, by the way.

SportsWriter Todd obviously never heard of Tug's Bo Derek fastball.
