i thought it was corny and over the top in a goofy white guy humor way but baseball with 162 games is so much different than every other sport in terms of how you act during or after a loss...its only as bad as the next game and they rolled today...smug is simply teetering on the edge of losing it because he knows this is roster is all on him

And I already said Ruben is no better.  He's at fault for this fiasco.  But even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while and in this case he was right to bitch them out.  Besides, do you really think it was just him?   Upper management & ownership cannot be happy about anything that has happened this year short of HOF finally breaking out.  These dicks are getting paid 175 million dollars to be a sub-.500 team and then they have the nerve to act like babies when they're getting their asses handed to them?

Gimme a break.  If anyone went to work with that sort of zesty attitude and overall "we don't give a farg" chip on their shoulder they'd get fired in a second, much less millionaires being paid to play a kids game.

Pitchers who aren't playing? Sure why not? I don't expect seriousness and stoicism every second of every game. This happens all throughout MLB during interviews. Remember back in the 80s when guys would light shoes on fire and shtein like that?
