there wasnt anyone that wasnt on board with the adams signing...i wasnt a huge fan but even i called it tolerable

Adams is a case of bad luck.   Turns out it was a bad deal but I don't fault Smug for that one.  Lannan, Young, Nix and a host of others sure but not Adams.  He was worth a shot.

There's nothing tough about it.  Utley is done, Howard is untradeable and Rollins is ticketed for an American League contender.  A week ago I would have said Papelbon is history but because of his latest implosions I doubt they'd be able to get a bag of used rubbers for him.  Lee is the only piece that could bring back anything of value unless they do something really stupid and try to contend this year.

A Statement Regarding Darren Daulton

Darren Daulton has not been feeling well over the past two weeks. He went to the doctor who discovered two brain tumors and is scheduled for surgery early next week.  Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family at this difficult time. Of course we want to respect his privacy at a time like this, but if you would like to send him get well wishes you may do so at
