yes i have a problem with an old slow person doing nothing but slapping singles into the hole. michael young hitting singles doesnt do anything for anybody. its empty stats. oh look hes on first for domonic brown and john mayberry. hooray.

he needs to drive the ball. he has 4 extra base hits. those are numbers for ben revere, not michael young. him on first (keep in mind hes slow) for low percentage hitters is a waste. thats why his war is a tremendous 0.4. hes also grounded into 6 double plays.

but his average is .350! hes good!

hes basically juan pierre without speed. hes got his (ill use a wheels term to make everyone understand) magic wand and hes just placing the ball where the fielders arent. sometimes he times it right, sometimes he doesnt. right now hes timing it right. a split second off on that and its a groundout or a double play.

again in the least a gm who thinks likes its 1944 might fall for the trick and trade for him. so they could get something come july.

at this juncture absolutely...his average is not staying at .360 but if it balances at around .300 with plus .350 obp thats about as good as its gonna get.

youll need 2 hits to score him but its better than what they have right now. young should be hitting 8th if not. keep in mind adrian beltre, hitting 150 points lower, has the same amount of total bases as he does.
