Best case scenario is he gets a season ending injury. He can go out with some dignity at least.

Don Ho

This is sad.  He looks totally spent after 3 innings.

if he turned himself into a moyer clone he could be ok

but hes overthrowing his pitches and relying too heavily on a fastball that doesnt have juice anymore.

why this was never brought up to him i do not know
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

SD

Wheels has a book out. It's available at Barnes & Noble for all of you hardcore fans (phreak, igy, rome)

MDS

brilliant 3-0 green light to a triple a player

A buddy of mine is a fellow Wheels hater like most Phils fans. When his book came out I bought it on amazon and had it shipped to his house for his birthday.

By the way...

Halladay walks off to indifference and light applause.

Choke strikes out and is booed like hell.

Come on, people.

Maybe tonight's the night one of the beat writers or Philly media takes that corksucker Amaro to task

MDS

should've done that 3 years ago when he made all those trades to set up this disaster

the writings been on the wall for some time now. they were headed down and there was no possible move or combination of moves anyone could have done to stop it. the point blank of it was they didnt win in 09 10 11 when they had the chance and that will be the takeaway from this run

i cant expect you to comprehend this because youve been in your own J world regarding this team for like 5 years. frankly i wonder what its like in there.

THIS THIS THIS! 100% correct.  2008 was special, I'll never forget the joy I felt but damnit if they had beaten the Yankees in 09 or won it all after the 102 win farce, shtein, that would have been sweet.

Not only that, but you really don't boo a player for getting old.  He was pretty automatic in 2010 and 2011 and you can't really put any blame on him at all for the Phil's shortcomings either of those years.  Starting last year, he was just 1 of many flaws with this team.  Even if he's still pitching like 2010, unless he's going the distance every game and giving up 2 runs or less each time out, they still probably aren't winning more than 50% of his starts.  They're going to struggle to score runs and they're pretty bad, if not terrible at at least 3 defensive positions.  No pitcher can compensate for that for an entire season.
