i actually think woe is me rg3 is going to eventually be very average but still, yes.

pretty much the perfect qb for chippers offense. not even close, and i like foles.

YES

can you imagine if he had rg3 to work with.....even if rg3 ends up being just average as you say its worth the upside

also people are forgetting how good he was last year before the injury....in fact I think with all the craziness in dc this year people have even forgotten he blew his knee out less than a year ago

Yep. RG3 still. We let this year color the shtein out of him... but we still talk about how much better this offense would be with a QB whose skillset is what Chip wants. He was the 2nd overall pick for a reason.

The only reason why I could see preferring Foles over him is out of spite because RG3 is so similar to McNabb. I think his personality is the absolute worst and him being like Donovan definitely makes him more unlikeable... but he should be better. Imagine young Donovan who could actually throw. The funny thing is everybody would be on board w/ RG3 if he missed this entire season to recover, but instead see the season that was basically a throwaway for him.

I'm of the opinion RG3 will still be a very good QB. He's only one year from having major knee surgery. They should have scrapped the running aspect of their offense and let him be a pocket QB. This would have taught him to be a passing QB first. Scripting running plays for a QB who is injury prone is unbelievably stupid. But the red flags are everywhere with the guy. Plus running QBs don't win SBs. Ever. Chip's offensive philosophy is irrelevant since he's running it fine with a 3rd round pick with no mobility. Know who else was supposedly tailor made for Chip's offense? Michael Vick. Offense is running much better under Foles.

vick was a brutal fit for his offense....simply being a good runner does not make you a fit for his offense....in his offense you need to make split second decisions post snap and intelligent ones pre snap

neither of which vick is capable of

the irony with vick is that chippers offense doesn't require great accuracy because the system is supposed to get people open....there isnt a lot of five yard slants that require supreme accuracy like there was in andys west coast offense

an immobile qb can definitely run chippers sets but an immobile qb will never take his system to next level status....and as ive said since foles has morphed into a legit qb that is the big question with him....does chip want to settle with nick or does he want the perfect fit

I must have missed the class where they taught what  "chippers offense" is.

Mike Shanahan intends to sit down Dan Snyder at end of year to see if they can work out arrangement that works for both sides next season.

taterskins will not attempt to fire Mike Shanahan for cause and withhold $7 million due for 2014. Contract is "ironclad", per legal source.

Too bad, I was really hoping Al Davis had taken over the mind of Dan Snyder.

That's what I want, Shanahan taking up an offer with the Cowboys to spite Snyder for years.

QuoteSince hearing Mike Shanahan's press conference and his comment on other HOF QB's having a harder time than RG3 in their first few years, I decided to compare RG3's stats this year with Peyton Manning's first year. This is a valid comparison because this is technically RG3's first year as a pocket passer.
