QB Eagles

I know I caught part of it a couple years ago because I remember watching the AFC go the length of the field by handing the ball off to Jamaal Charles on every single play of a drive.

Yeah, the game is bullshtein.

that the probowl even exists is a testament to how farging popular the nfl is....it actually gets decent ratings still....if any other sport put on a complete farce like that no one would watch

The Pro Bowl is a joke in any format and is not long for this world. Honestly I preferred watching the old Quarterback Challenge.

That's what they should do with pro bowl weekend.  Eliminate the game, just make a list like the All Pro team and have some sort of skills competitions.  Take the QB's that were voted to the pro bowl team and have them doing the QB Challenge.  Have a some sort of "strong man" challenge and maybe a hot dog eating contest for the Corey Simons of the league.   Hell, they could even do a talent show so that we can see DJax rap live.  Shawn Andrews could be his DJ.

Munson

Yeah I never understood why the QB competition got eliminated....used to love watching that.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I watched the HOF ceremony and it was pretty good.

Larry Allen (one of two Cowboys I admired and liked - the other was Darren Woodson) said about his first date with his wife "she cooked me two chickens, fries, baked me a cake and gave me a 40" and then when he turned around to see his bust "it better have a dip in".

Jon Ogden had a nice speech. What a great player. Him and Walter Jones were superb LTs.

Robinson, Culp and Sapp were good too.

Parcells is motivating and I would have probably run through a wall if I worked for him.

Cris Carter was excellent. He cried when talking about Buddy.

Yep. And Art Modell wanted him to take Lawrence Phillips.

Eagles could've had Sapp in 1995 and Lewis in 1996.

Chew on that.

Agreed the dolphins uniforms look like a cheap semi-pro team.

You're right, the damn game continues to draw viewers.  As a tax paying citizen of the state of Hawaii I for one would love to see this game go.  Other than the liquor and people watching (which i can do any day for free at any beach) its one big collossal scam.  I still laugh at people I know who get all excited because "they're going to the Pro Bowl!". Which I always respond with "oh you mean the glorified touch football game".  They build it up as if there is all this player/fan interaction which is the biggest crock of shtein.  Years ago there was as the players stayed in Waikiki and security consisted of a Filipino woman about 4'9.  The players are now sequestered out a remote Marriott resort with very tight security.  Practice is a bitch to watch and having to witness grown adults throw themselves over fences to attempt to get an autograph is disgusting.  Blow the game up.  Have a big awards party on the beach.  A little more fan interaction during the festivities either by buying a VIP pass and/or a few hundred lucky winners in a contest and it's a win.

Tannehill looked terrible and so did that non-helmet wearing Dolphin logo.

Don't feel too bad about Sapp, his own coach (Erickson) passed on him as well, and that year DT was a position of need for the Seahawks.
