True, and they have a need at guard but Albert has gone public saying he doesn't want to play inside and tag money for a tackle is a lot to pay a guard. I would hope Andy(/Dorsey) would have learned by now to talk to the player before tagging to make sure he's willing to play where he is needed if he wants him inside. But not counting on it.

kc could also be using the tag as a security measure...it allows them to keep albert while they try and trade down from number one...if that doesnt happen and one of the tackles is their best player on the board then they take him and pull back the tag on albert

they also could be waiting on a louie louie diagnosis and see what comes out about his condition btwn now and the draft...if hes healthy he fits a need perfectly for them...so perhaps they end up taking him and keeping albert at tackle and ultimately signing him long term...however if LL is deemed to big of a risk then they again take fisher or the joker and let albert hit the market

they had 5 pro bowlers last season...yes i know pro bowl often means little but in the chiefs case all five guys are legit top end talent and in the mix with the best players in the nfl at their respective positions

they arent far away from being good and could easily make the playoffs this year in one of those basement to penthouse type turnarounds that are pretty common in the nfl these days
