Even Miami isn't dumb enough to let a top-5 LT hit the market.
Although the Eagles will literally have something like $40 mill in cap space next year, no?

He's going to hit the market. It's the same thing as Mario Williams last year. Would have had to pay something $23 mil to franchise him. It'll be something similar for Long.

I'm sure they'll try to re-sign him, but Long would be a dumbass not to test the market.

they might not....in fact their second round pick from last year jonathan martin is essentially getting a four game tryout to see if they even want long back

McShay has the Eagles taking Joeckel in his first mock.  Top 3 are Lotulelei, Moore and Werner, with Hankins going to Carolina at #5

DH

While it would be a great pick as far as needs go, is there anything more boring than waiting months for the draft knowing the team will be taking an OL?

if it was a tony boselli type prospect id be as fired up for a tackle as any other position...but in this case i agree

Here's his top 10.

1. Kansas City Chiefs - Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah

2. Jacksonville Jaguars - Damontre Moore, DE, Texas A&M

3. Oakland Raiders - Bjoern Werner, DE, Florida State

4. Philadelphia Eagles - Luke Joeckel, OT, Texas A&M

Here's what McShay had to say.

The Eagles have major concerns along the offensive line, and also have a need at cornerback. The line situation will improve when C Jason Kelce and OTs Jason Peters and Todd Herremans return from injured reserve next season, but you could not fault Philadelphia for taking the best available offensive tackle. Joeckel is a smart, technically sound and tough player in the mold ofJoe Thomas, and Joeckel started all 37 games at left tackle in his first three seasons with the Aggies. He could play right tackle opposite Peters and allow Herremans to move inside to guard.

5. Carolina Panthers - Johnathan Hankins*, DT, Ohio State

6. Tennessee Titans - Barkevious Mingo*, DE, LSU

7. Detroit Lions - Dee Milliner*, CB, Alabama

8. Arizona Cardinals - Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia

9. San Diego Chargers - Taylor Lewan*, OT, Michigan

10. Cleveland Browns - Chance Warmack*, G, Alabama

As for other notable names that have come up here... He has Manti Te'o going #11 to the Bills, Jarvis Jones #13 to the Saints and Matt Barkley not as a first rounder.

I'd be fine with Joeckel but I also wouldn't mind trading down

giovanni bernard who in a normal year would have no business going pro has declared....hes probably the first second or third rb in the draft now but in one of the weakest rb drafts ever means he will go second round....this is sad as an eagle fan because its shows how awful a draft it is

Good thing they're not after RBs, he'll just push another mediocre prospect a little closer to them.

I've caught there show on comedy central a few times.  They're really up and down.  Sometimes they knock one out of the park (like this one) and other times I want to kick my tv.

This is farging hilarious though.
