If they had lost it would be an 11.  Winning cures a lot of things or at least it obscures it nicely.

There won't be any controversy at all when Vick is traded in the offseason.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

I will give Vick credit.  He was pretty good in the end of the 2nd and the end of the game.  Though he forced that one pass to Harbor that was nearly picked off by LJ Fort.

he does his best hes just not a 3-5 step and throw the ball qb....which is what you have to have in this offense

Look, I don't think this is a SB team with Vick at the helm, but do you people really believe that Foles gives them a better chance at that than Mike does? The kid played well in August, but let's remember - it was August.

It really comes down to Vick playing within the system like he did in 2010.  His regression to being a player who thinks he has to put it all on him is just frustrating.

At the same time, if Foles was in there we'd see the same old thing that you see everytime a backup QB enters the game.  A balanced gameplan to give the QB a chance to relax.  Instead Braindead Andy and Marty do the same thing every year.

I don't know why they don't have Vick drop back more rather than using the shotgun It would help with his timing and discipline. I don't buy that it is to help with his seeing the rush because he gets too rattled and skittish anyway. If he has confidence in his pass pro he is worlds better, if he is hit a few times you lose him. They also have to find a way to help him with the blitz, he doesn't use a check down fast enough and it doesn't look like he always has one.

He also narrowly missed I believe 4 pics in about 4 quarters that would have really changed the complexion of how people see him. He does seem to have good skills though but needs at least a year.

The more I think about, the more I like the outcome yesterday. If they'd blown out the Browns easily, they'd be due for a rude awakening. Instead, they get the all-important W in the standings but all the harsh lessons learned that a loss would have given them. Besides, the defense played actually better than I expected (against an admittedly bottom-tier offense), and the offensive line and playcalling both improved as the game went on - not a coincidence.

Of course the big issue here is that Vick sucked hairy donkey balls. Maybe he'll get knee-capped and Foles will actually be good. Maybe he shook off the stink and will play better. I don't know.... I'm just glad I didn't draft him in fantasy.

vick will be better....lets remember he only threw 12 passes in preseason...they will beat the ravens and the train will be firmly back on the track

big picture tho they have to upgrade the qb position...whether that be foles or not....for andy reids first 10 years they had the best qb in the division...now they have the worst and that has to change

Maybe maybe not but I'd rather go with a young guy with potential than with stick with Vick. They're not winning the sb this season do the "who gives you the best option to win" argument is moot

rjs246

Of course Vick could win and I would argue that he's the better QB for this team right now anyway. With an OL that can't protect anyone he still has the ability to steal a game or two with his legs. But the writing is on the wall long-term. This offense needs precision in order to reach its potential. Precision is not something Vick has, or can spell.

i think the line is getting way to much criticism
at least in yesterdays game

the penalties need to cease but they threw the ball 56 times and vick was only sacked twice...i dont believe he was under pressure on any of the interceptions and the team rushed for 150 yards

now im not ready to annoint them....lets see how they do against the ravens defense but overall i liked what i saw...especially as the game progressed

The line was protecting for quick timing plays and Vick didn't execute any of them... but still, as bad as expected from King Dunlap.

Christ, Austin Howard shut down Mario Williams yesterday.
