Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Supposedly this guy is legit [sports anchor in Orlando]. If they land Howard, even for a season, I'd lose my farging mind. You have the chance to convince him to stay, he leaves and you get cap space. Win/win.

MDS

Ummmm no

Any dwight trade will be contingent on him signing long term. No one is trading for him for 1 season and dealing with his passive aggressive melodramatic mcnabb bullshtein

You're right...let's stand pat and root for mediocrity. They're stuck in no mans land...I'd rather they roll the dice on Howard for a year with the possibility of re-signing him than sitting still and doing nothing. At worst you lose iggy and maybe Thad's money. He leaves and you open up salary. They're stuck in purgatory until they Do something drastic.

Howard couldn't cut it in Mickey Mouse land.

What makes you think he'd make it in Philly even for a season?

SD

It's called a change of scenery. It doesn't work and it's one year and done.

That would work if he wanted to play in Philly.  He doesn't.  He doesn't know what he wants because he has the emotional wherewithal of a five year-old, but still, you don't want that, SD.

Sgt PSN

I remember Howard specifically saying he'd never play in Philly. I think it was revolving around some unruly Philly fan story or something around the beginning of the season.

I'm not a Hawes fan but I can live with that deal...he'd be decent as a rotation guy...hate that he's the starter. Anyone want to bitch about possibly getting Howard now? Purgatory.

Drunkmasterflex

That is a reasonable deal for him.  Don't love the guy but he is an ok big.

$6.5M a year for a slash line of 9.6/7.3?

In basketball dollars, $6.5m is akin to what you make in your profession.
