There hasn't been a "strong" draft since Lebron came out and beyond that the pick is lottery protected for the next three years. And if they don't get it by then it turns to two second rounders.

They'll make the playoffs some time within the next 3 seasons, I'm confident of that. I wouldn't have as big of a problem if it were top 20 protected. The Heat just got a mid first round pick and early 2nd for a late first round pick. Moultrie is an okay pick but he reminds me of a black Vucevic.

And to me that is fine because this draft is one of those that I don't think there is a huge difference from players from 10-28.  I don't think it is as weak as some of the previous drafts.  And most experts actually think it is deep.

I am glad to see they finally drafted a Euro Stash player.

there will never be "good" drafts anymore until players stop coming out as freshmen

every few years youll get a no doubter like drose or john wall or anthony davis but other than that its a crapshoot. look at 2009, sixers got jrue at 17. in 2008 nicolas batum and george hill went back to back at 25 and 26. you just really never know with 18, 19 and 20 year olds.

youd know a bit more if they all stayed for their senior years, but the ncaa and nba seem to be fine with the 1 and dones so what are you gonna do.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

what a piece of shtein draft...perry jones to OKC? i love the thunder but that is ridiculous.

melo and sullinger to boston?

this draft gets a D.

i dont mind the moultrie the move....he has the potential to be a big time rebounder and at least that is a massive need whereas harkless is more of the same ole same ole....a non lottery pick means shtein...their future is going to be set by the iguodala trade and free agency next summer

i dont know where its from but a good friend of mine just emailed me this.....

Philadelphia: No. 15 Moe Harkless, No. 27 Arnett Moultrie

I don't think the Sixers could have gotten more given their draft position. In a few years, I see Harkless as one of the steals of this year's draft. Incredibly smooth, long and athletic, Harkless has a power forward's interior feel with a small forward's mobility. Moultrie was even more of a steal. He has lottery tools, including 6-11 size, elite athleticism and a jumper that's unappreciated. He also led the SEC in rebounding. Philly didn't have a pick in the lottery and landed two studs. Exceptional draft work by a top-notch scouting organization.

Grade: A

Good deal if he can replicate what he did last season. Little overpaid but I'm glad they rolled the dice.
