My fantasy team mourns. Cueto has been clutch all season.

It's fitting that Cloyd took Moyer's number, because he throws about as hard as him. Maybe he can be a Ryan Vogelsong-like success in the majors.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

I feel like every HR AAAberry hits is smoked right over the wall. Big John doesn't joke around.

MAAAyberry smokes a frozen rope over the LF wall....4-1...Johnny Paps looks forward to throwing a game losing fastball into Jay Bruce's wheelhouse soon.

PS - Jimmy has 1,999 hits.

Choke needs to learn how to scoop better...he's missed the last three digs he's had to make. Just cost them a baserunner and a good play by Jimmy there because he couldn't make a normal scoop

SD

Cloyd has nice movement on his pitches and locates well. Shame he doesn't have a top level fastball because his command is great. The Maddux comparison has merit but Maddux averaged a 93 mph fastball where as Cloyd tops out at 88-90. His ceiling is probably as a 3 starter but he's probably a career 4 which is fine because teams need that.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

Just a little bump in the road yesterday, boys. Bandwagon rolling!

MDS

realistically if they want to make the playoffs they can probably lose 2 or 3 more games, tops

QuoteMatthew Woolf Anyone who says it is too late or we won't make the wild card- look at the Giants last year. They were in our same situation, but they won the World Series. It's possible, and the Phillies aren't called the Phighting Phillies for nothing. Keep the Phaith! GO PHILIES!

Except that the Giants were 2 years ago.

Not saying it "can't" happen, but anyone who still firmly believes that this team is making the playoffs is off their god damned rocker.

Let's show some love people:

Rollins at 2,000
Jimmy Rollins became the fourth player to reach 2,000 hits with the Phillies but also accomplished another feat of longevity on Tuesday. He is only the fourth player in baseball history to amass at least 2,000 hits, 350 stolen bases and 150 home runs for one team, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.

The other three are Craig Biggio (Houston), Barry Larkin (Cincinnati), and Paul Molitor (Milwaukee).
